Does Disneyland make you cry happy tears?

Always. Always, always always.

I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it.

I cried when we went last November and I saw the huge Christmas tree. I cried when I saw Haunted Mansion was decorated for Nightmare before Christmas, and I cried, of course for the Remember Dreams come true fireworks, especially when snow started falling and they played "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"

I cry in my car when I'm listening to the "Remember dreams..." music on my ipod. :goodvibes

That last look back down Main Street really got to me! I hated to leave (and I was nearly broke and I still wanted to stay :rotfl: ). Hey Jedi, only seven days to go! You lucky girl. Wave to the Wicked Queen for me! Oooh and the Villain's Lair! That was totally cool.

I am 29 years old and the night before we go I get butterflies in my stomach.

haha that just reminded me...I do the same thing to...ok I swear, I make myself get up really early the day before we go and I wont take a nap the entire day and I can be so tired I can hardly move but can I sleep? :sad2: Im so excited I cant stand it...reminds me of that WDW commercial where the kids tell their mom they are too excited to sleep and the dad says it more maturely...well I am defintely not the mature one, I act just like the kids jumping around acting goofy  and of course I have to yell out are we there yet? are we there yet? :yay:

I love the disneyland commercials where the parents are more excited then the kids. Like where the dad runs around in mickey ears, shorts and has a camera around his neck yelling at the kids "ONLY 3 MORE WEEKS" or something to that effect.

Oh, yes! In 2003 we went to DL for the very first time. When we finally got to the GC and we were standing in line to check-in I got all misty!! I couldn't believe I was really there! :goodvibes

I usually get teary eyed when the speech is played at park opening everyday. I remember hearing the part about "whether this is your first visit or your...." when I was little and thinking, "it is not my first time at Disneyland!" and hoping I could go a hundred times. So, it still hold true today. I say a little "goodbye" to the Castle and Main Street, too. I only do that at Disneyland....never have quite that same feeling at WDW.

I always get emotional. For everything. Especially the fireworks. I cry when I have to go home. I cry at the end of fantasmic. I am just a big ol crybaby.

We're locals that are able to go frequently and I still get teary just about every time we're there!! I cry during the parades, when I see a character I've never seen before (or one of my favorites), and sometimes that first trek down Main Street will do it to me. But what really get's me going are the fireworks. I'm not bawling or anything, but there is definitely some 'eye moisture'! I try to hide it as much as I can because for some reason, if DH2B notices that I'm getting misty, the flood gates open right up! LOL

I hear the 50th fireworks are just amazing and can bring people to tears. I've never seen it, but the music is really touching. I cant imagine what the fireworks will be like.

I've cried everytime I've been there. When I was little, I'd cry because I didn't want to go back home. And, I still cry for that reason today! LOL Now I get all misty eyed watching my two boys interact with the characters, that really does me in. The 50th anniversary fireworks brought tears to my eyes as well.

Every time that I looked the Cinderella's or Sleeping Beauty's Castle for the Last Time on my trip.........I cried like a little girl........wondering when I will come back to my magical place to spend my vacations..........

I just went for the first time and cried at the end of Fantasmic. My friend cried during the Parade of Dreams. It's great to hear that other people get so emotional over Disney.

:goodvibes It is nice to see other people crying over disney. At least I wont look silly sitting there crying when I see tinkerbell at POD or Flying over the castle come the fireworks. I've seen parade and firework clips on the computer and I start crying and laughing in disbelief that im going there in just a few short weeks to see her myself in those magical events.

Here's what makes my eyes leak:

1-Walking into the esplanade area and hearing the music, i'm actually at Disneyland! :teeth:
2-Fireworks, that Wishes song gets me everytime! (I've seen the WDW version 4X, the DL version once - it's wayyyyyyyy better!) :lovestruc
3-When I have to leave on our last day there. It's hard walking away from that castle!

Yeah I lost it a little the first time I heard the Walt Disney dedication audio they're using for the 50th, and during that Magical Years film in the 50th exibition. <-- h ?

I have heard from many people that leaving is the worst. Looking back at the park and knowing you have to leave. I cant imagine what that feeling is going to be like.

I am so excited for you as you anticipate your 1st magical trip to DL!! :yay: I will be going for my 13th time this December and I feel just as excited as I did my 1st time back in 1974!

Fantasmic and the 50th anniversary fireworks show definitely bring tears to my eyes! :tink:

There is something about getting in line to enter the park early, and then rushing off to Space Mountain that totally gets me.

It is seeing Main Street completely empty, feeling the magic of passing Walt and Mickey, and entering the Land of Tomorrow...

I love Disney Mornings... :earsboy:

I bet, you have a whole magical day ahead of you to look forward to. I can understand why mornings are so awesome there.

I love it when I'm able to go to DL early in the morning when the crowds are low. It's so quiet and fun walking around the parks. Nothing beats a plate of mickey shaped pancakes in the morning! :goodvibes

My fav. thing to do is walk around both DL and DCA and take photos of things in the parks that I think people wouldn't pay attention to or haven't noticed before. :cheer2:

Oh and it's awesome seeing the omnibus and horse-drawn trolleys head out towards Main St. to pick up the first guests of the day and listening to them honk their horns and ring their bells! :sunny:
