We already booked out trip for the 2nd week in march but now we are hearing about the mkc discounts and the park hours being shortened . Some people thought it was due to poor sales of rooms. I would be more then willing to pay a few extra bucks to upgrade my stay but at a discounted rate. If anybody has rates or information i would appreciate it!

We received a free upgrade to lakeview at CSR last September. upon check-in. We had reserved a standard view (AP rate) and when we got to the room, we had a wonderful view of the lake and dig site. We didn't ask for the upgrade but the resort felt deserted so I expect they were giving folks great rooms if available.

We have gotten room upgrades during slow times, but never a resort upgrade. We have never asked for an upgraded, they were just offered.

When we were down right after 9/11 they upgraded us to a better room and we didn't even ask. The parks were totally dead anyway, so I guess they figured what few guests they had they'd give a few special treats to. I wouldn't expect that to happen this March though. It's always crowded that time of year.
