Someone just told me because the numbers of visitors at Disney are down, Disney is taking Canadian money at face value. Does anyone know if this is true?

They will exchange your foreign currency at the front desk. If you are saying that a dollar canadian = a doller amercian, then the answer is no.
They do, however, sell passes at a par rate in Canada.

Don't I wish! :teeth: No, but there is a Canadian At Par deal on right now. It's kind of our "you can't have Disney Visa, so here's the VISA deal for you." For the Canadian "at par", you have to use a VISA to book your trip, and it will cover your room and passes, as a package. (Can't get just passes at par-here or there-, but that would be so wonderful.) BUT HURRY-the package has to be booked by the 26th of this month if you want to get the deal. I can't go, so I'm glad when somebody can! :p HTH

they do occasionally sell the tickets at par in Canada. I am just happy they do it at all. I LOVE Canadians. (my Dad was one).

This year is actually the fist year in over 10 (since I started going) that there have been no CDN at par deals for tickets.

For the last few years the limited Park Hopper Plus passes sold in Canada have been "kind of, but not really at par." While the deal used to be grand when it was completely at par, regardless of the number of pass purchased, in more recent years it has been "Buy 1 get 1 at half price". Nice deal in that they give Canucks a deal at all, but not completely at par.
Now with the Canadian dollar performing at a better rate than the one posted for the current Disney/Visa deal Canadians are actually getting better prices than available to Americans.

::yes:: You're right. I didn't remember those since they were a limited time ticket some years back. . . and I couldn't go to Disney in the months that they were available anyhoo, so couldn't take advantage of them. I appreciate any discount that I can find, and still am bummed that we don't get anything to replace our Disney Club. :(
