Now that the Magic is "new" again, it seems that in order to pay for the redesign, Disney has jacked up the price. Does anyone know if DCL runs sales like other cruise lines do? I have been on the other three ships and would love to try the Magic, but seems so expensive. I can't recall ever seeing sales on DCL.

Sort of.

On cruises that aren't selling well DCL typically will offer "specials". Military, Canadian, Kids Sail Free are examples of this. In the last couple of years DCL has been offering the last-minute restricted fares (IGT, OGT, VGT). And fewer "specials".

The *GT rates are generally offered (if they are going to be) 45-60 days out from any given cruise. And, again, only on those cruises that haven't been selling well.

All the time. They run specials like Kids Sale Free, Florida residents, military, but there are also sales, usually inside the 75 days before sailing, where a category is discounted but you give up picking your cabin.
