Does cancelling room reservation automatically cancel DME?

I know cancelling DME is optional, but does anyone know if cancelling a reservation through DVC automatically cancels the DME reservation associated with that reservation? If not, I want to call and cancel, but if it is automatic, then I won't. Thanks.

It is not automatic.

When you arrive at the welcoming area, Magical Express CMs may or may not check manually to be sure you have a room reservation before validating your vouchers and letting you get into the bus queues.

If you were to keep the DME intact, but not have a resort reservation, when you get to the airport and have your voucher scanned, it will come up that you have no resort reservation, you will not be allowed to board the bus.
If you are canceling one resort reservation and then making a new one, fine. The info for DME will then be changed.

It is automatic. I have always had my voucher scanned before being sent to the bus. And then the bus driver scanned the voucher again.

Thanks all. I figured they were two separate systems. That's probably for the best, since it's no big deal if you don't cancel (they know the average no-show rate and factor this in I'm sure), but would be bad if you reserved DME under one reservation then changed your reservation and lost your DME reservation. I can see that easily happen as MS often will delete ressies without even telling you when making certain types of changes like combing multiple reservations. Not their fault, they are just doing the most efficient operation to accomplish what you are asking, and not thinking about a DME reservation that might be linked to that reservation. I actually have that exact situation (not for this trip) so held off on making DME on the first reservation in case they used the second reservation as the parent of the merge. Not knowing what would happen, I didn't want to be brave and find out the hard way :) For this one, I'll go ahead and be nice and call to cancel . Who do I call BTW -- I assume DVC MS for DVC ressies?
