Does Burger King still "flame broil" their Whoppers?

Because honestly, the last few times I've been in there, I haven't seen a grill...I've only seen the patties in a container with water, going in or out of a microwave.

Back in the 80's when my hometown got their first BK, I clearly remember the grill machine and the chimney with the black smoke constantly coming out of it.

hmm, our BK still has tons of smoke coming out of the roof, maybe it's from their microwave ovens????

We have created the need for those microwaves due to our impatience!! We can't be bothered to wait in line at the drive thru while it's being flame broiled nor would we want one "waiting" in the bins.

Personally, I can't stand the taste due to the microwaving and no longer eat fast food cheeseburgers. Oh, and they aren't healthy for me...
