We were a party of 9 and planning on renting points for a 2 br villa at BLT for next year. Now we may become a party of 10 and no longer fit in a 2BR. We could get two 1BR for much less points than a 3BR unit. Heck, in fact we could get two 2br units for less points than a 3BR.

But we would like connecting rooms. Does BLT offer connecting rooms??? on either a 1BR or 2BR?

Thanks in advance.

The only villas that ever conect are a studio and a 1 bedroom (making a 2 bedroom unit).

You could get a 2 BR and a studio and save some points. :thumbsup2 The only rooms that connect in a DVC resort are 2 BRs, which consist of a studio combined with a 1 BR. There is a door between the studio and 1 BR allowing a little more privacy. But if you add another room it will not connect to the original 2 BR.

Plus there is no guarantee that the second villa will be close to the first one. Could be on the same floor at opposite ends, could be on a different floor.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know that a 2br was a studio and a 1br connecting unit. I think that 9 of us (me, dh, 5 kids, and two grandmas) will be ok in a 2br. I am not sure what we will do but you have all given me the information I need to make a decision. Also I need a firm commitment form the possible 10th person before I make any changes. We are looking at October 2010 so I have until November 2009 before I need to make the ressie. I am just anal about my planning and want to have everything figured out NOW!!

Not all 2 bedrooms are a studio + one bedroom (lock-off.) There are also dedicated 2 bedroom units. The dedicated have 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom (except some BCV dedicated units). Dedicated also have one entrance, no kitchenette in the 2nd bedroom and, depending upon resort, no balcony for the second bedroom.

Depending upon the demographics of your party, you need to decide if a lock-off or dedicated would be best for you, as those are specific booking categories. Dedicated and lock-off take the same number of points,.
