Does Best Buy price match?

Target has a Star Wars games for XBox on sale---if I take the ad to Best Buy will they price match it? I know Wal-mart will but that is out of my way. Will any other stores price match? Thanks!

I've only done this once and it was when Circuit City advertised the same item I'd purchased from Best Buy for less than I'd paid. Not only did I get the price difference (which was all that I wanted), but they did give me the additional 10%.

I took the ad in (and mine was an online ad). I price matched from circuit city. It was for a tv and I saved $100. They told me they were going to call and see if it was available and I told them that was fine however it is available online with free shipping so I'd just go home and order it if they weren't willing to give me $100 off. They just then went ahead with it

They priced matched (+ 10% for me) on a DVD from Toys R Us for me about a week before Christmas.

Yes, Best Buy will reportedly price match, but you have to go to Customer Service- not at the regular checkouts. I took one look at that "post-Christmas return" line and decided it wasn't worth it. I went to Walmart, where they price matched a DVD for me right at the register - no problems.

Here's a question:

Toys R'Us has the Guitar Hero: World Tour bundle for Wii for $159....while Best Buy has it for $189....would they price match video games or a set like that?

Yes, Best Buy will reportedly price match, but you have to go to Customer Service- not at the regular checkouts. I took one look at that "post-Christmas return" line and decided it wasn't worth it. I went to Walmart, where they price matched a DVD for me right at the register - no problems.

Our BB here in Louisville has always done the price match right at the register. No need to go to Customer Service. You bring in the ad and they do it right when they are ringing it up. Maybe different stores, different policies.

Our Best Buy price matched for Rock Band for Wii. We did have to go to CS but we had purchased the Rock Band for Wii on a Friday & in the Sunday ads it was lower at Toys R Us. We just took the receipt back along with the ad & got a refund. If you were purchasing the item at the time with the ad, perhaps you could just do it at the register.

I did the John Adams DVD just before Chirstmas. Target ad had it for $24.99, took it in to BB, and did the price match at the regular register. Easy!

this worked for me when I brought in an ad from Circuitcity on a lower priced item. I thought, what are they going to say, no? And they didnt.

Just a note... if your Circuit City is going out of business they won't match those prices (which weren't very good anyway!)
