I'm not sure how it's packaged for the PS2, but the Xbox (at least at Xmas time which is about the time it was released for the Xbox) it was packaged with the game and pad for either $70 or $80. I forget what we paid for it. You could also at that time buy the game and pad separately, but it was a little more expensive. Again, I wouldn't be able to say how much, but I'd almost bank the price has dropped since that time. At least for the game. No games increase in price, unless you happen to have a rare copy of whatever.

we have this and my girls love it! I haven't played it mainly because I don't want to embarrass myself by not keeping up:teeth: . My 13 and 15 yr old nephews also like to come over and play so i'm thinking it's good for everyone. My 16 yr old likes the workout mode. I'm not sure what mat we have...I think I spent about 25.00 on it...and it is huge!

We have the PS2 version.

The only thing I don't like is when I'm in the living room and they are playing upstairs it sounds like they are going to come through the ceiling!

We'll its settled, we HAVE to have one!!!! ToysRUs has the one that comes with the mat for Playstation. I haven't decided if I want to go that way or through ebay.

Yep your right I'm dieting and have been doing really well. Excersise is my only drawback and if this game is that fun then I definatly need one!!!!

Now I'm excited!

You need to jump on there when no one is around. Then when you get good, you can play em and beat them. Yeah right, like that'll ever happen! LOL Let me tell you, you cannot not look more silly than my husband does!

This one person I know loves this game, but she lives in an apartment building and the people living below her just can't appreicate the effort she puts in for her workout for some reason! :teeth:

At 1st, it's a little tricky, but stick with it and you'll get better all the time and eventually, you'll master it and will love it. Don't give up when it feels like you're never going to catch on. You will catch on!

My DD has the original one and the Disney one for the Playstation. We got the pads off ebay. She is 13 and she likes the Disney version best, but both are good. It's great exercise! I think you'll like it.

OH is the Disney version super? I may have to have it! Are the songs familiar??

Have fun Beth and tell me how it goes. :)

We just bought this for our 12 yr. old son and he LOVES it. We also just had a Gamecube, but when I saw an article about how it helps to lose wt., which my son needs to do, I said I have to go get it (he doesn't really like too many sports, but loves music). Well, I went out and bought the PS2, the game and the mat, 230.00 later and he plays it tons of times during the day!!! Best investment, you won't regret it.

We've had our DDR stuff for a few years now. We just use PS1 and have three different games. I bought the pads from www.redoctane.com and our kids have really had fun with it. It's fantastic for birthday parties and sleepovers!!!

We also just got the game and 2 mats (4 girls needed 2 mats LOL) for PS2

My girls are on it ALL DAY, they love love love it !!!!

That's it....I'm buying one for my girls today. Sounds like so much fun!!!

I want one! I watched for hours too at Disneyquest.

On the Today show, it was REALLY a riot to see Matt Lauer try it. :teeth:

The Disney one is called DDR Disney Mix. The songs include: Do the Bus Stop, B4U, Chim Chim Cher-ee, Fire, Higher, It's a Small World, It's a Small World (Ducking Harcore Mix), Let the Beat Hit 'Em, Let's Twist Again, Macho Duck, Mickey Mouse March (European version), Mickey Mouse March (summertime extended version), Midnight Blaze, Mr. Bassman, My Summer Love, Night of Fire, Share My Love, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and Zip-A-De-Doo-Dah.

I actually had it wrong. She has three playstation dance discs. Besides the DDR and the Disney ones, she also has a game called The Jungle Book Rythm and Groove. I forgot about that one. You "Dance through the thrilling adventures of Walt Disney's The Jungle Book. Move to the beat and imitate the swinging moves of all the funky jungle pals to bring Mowgli safely to the man village." Of the three it is her least favorite.

We got this 2 years ago and still use it today. DH picked out the Red Octane higher end mat, that is nice fabric and has foam blocks that go inside it. It has held up through he and I, as well as our 2 and 4 year old using it for 2 years, many times. We do that when TV is bad (most nights for our family) and it is too hot or cold to be outside. We had the thinner, flat mat at first but returned it because it was a bit more slippery and we were concerned about it holding up over time.

We found the Disney DDR for PS1 (which works in PS2) at Frys Electronics for $14.99, you might check in a larger electronics store before you ebay, they may have a copy left on their shelves and it is way less expensive. FYI - I haven't found anything on either of them (Disney or DDR Max) that I have a problem with our girls watching or listening to, but I haven't listened too closely to all the lyrics. Many of the songs are just music with no words.

In our house DDR and The Wiggles are how we get most of our exercise!
