Does anyone watch Stargate?

I love both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis! Friday nights are Sci-Fi nights for me.

Can't get enough or them, especially since SG-1 has Richard Dean Anderson in it!

So... who likes watching these series?

Me too! The only reason I ever subscribed to Showtime was so I could watch Stargate. I was so glad when they went to the SciFi channel. My kids call me the "scifi freak".

I love the show. Series 8 and Atlantis haven't aired in England yet, they start next month and I can't wait. I do have every single episode from season 1 - 7 on DVD though!!

DH watches both shows. I've occasionally watched the original. I like that it's "sci-fi", but that it's set in the "present". I also think Richard Dean Anderson is MUCH better looking now than as McGyver. But, I think the guy who plays Daniel Jackson is even hotter.

SG1 has been/is a family night tradition in our house. It's one of the few shows all 4 of us watch together. The addition of Atlantis means we spend 2 hours together now instead of just the one - not an easy thing to do with two teens

DD and I've watched every episode since its premier. I'm not as crazy about Atlantis. I just can't warm up to the cast. I've always loved Richard Dan Anderson. I think the cast blends very well. I was really glad when Michael Shanks returned. Corin Nemic was okay, but he just wasn't like Daniel. I'm sorry that it Stargate SG-1 will be ending. I understand Richard Dean Anderson's motivation and I'm sure he doesn't need the money, but we will really miss the show.

You can add my parents, son, and me to the list. My parents have all the dvd's that have been released so far too. My son and I have had Stargate nights where we have set and watched several episodes. Nick can name just about every episode and tell you which season and which episode it is!!

I don't know the episode names but if I read the little synopsis on my tv guide I can spout out the scenes of the episode.

I do like Atlantis, especially major Sheppard. It's nice that they made him a little like O'Neill

I can watch the original SG1 series for hours. Atlantis hasn't really captured my imagination.....but I'm sure it will eventually!

Oh yea, Michael Shanks is a hottie. I've notice he's put on a little weight this yr, but he is still hot.
As I mentioned on the TV sho mistakes thread, we play a game when watching SG:1. Since they use many of hte same extrs over and over, we try to name what roles in previous episodes someone has played.
