Forgive me...I Tivo Big Love and watch it on Mondays...so that's why I'm late with this question.

but what in the fresh heck went on sunday night?

Roman's son...the one that broke into Bill's office...wth was up with him and the guy he picked up? I just do NOT get that?

And what was Roman's intent with sending this guy to bill's office? Obviosuly Roman has screwed over Joey with that contract he signed...but is ROMAN (with 18 wives or whatever), saying he's going to expose Bill as a polygimst? (sp?)

Thanks!

Yeah, that whole thing with Alby was weird! And what did he need with that rope and knife in the trunk of his car? For a while there, I thought he might kill that guy in his room.

I got the impression that he went to Bill's store on his own. Roman had told him that he was pulling him from the Hendrickson issue.

ok - so I wasn't the only one lost!

I thought maybe Alby (thanks for reminding me of his name!) was picking up that guy for that GUY to do a job for him. (ie - with the rope/knife)

hopefully this gets answered next week.

and when is someone going to figure out that Nikkie is not looking to get pregnant!

I kinda like this show, but the whole Albie thing this past Sunday was just bad writing IMO. :confused3

OT: I get a kick out of seeing two old icons like Bruce Dern and Harry Dean Stanton act like kooks every week. Probably my favorite part of the show

I really like the show. It was a little strange Sunday with the guy in the motel room. I didn't understand what the point of that was. I think the show is one of those you really like or you don't like at all. My sister can't get into it. I look foward to it every Sunday.

I didn't get the point of it either. I thought maybe that guy was a hitman who was going to take out Bill. And Alby was supplying the rope and the knife - or something. But I guess that wasn't it.

I'm hoping (so it doesn't turn out to be bad writing) that somehow it all gets tied together next week.

Nicky is a first class freak! She's sly and vinidictive one minute and meek and repentive the next - you just never know which Nicky is going to come out. I think her character is the most interesting of all.

And Margene and Ben? Anyone see something brewing there? Ewwwww.... ;)

And who laughed their butt off at the cause of the car accident? My DH, who only caught 5 minutes of the show, was rolling. My DD's boyfriend said "I never did THAT with my friends!" :rotfl:

I'm not sure if the rope and knife were tied to the pick up or not - but that's how I interpreted the guy at the store - he was a pick up that Alby subsequently didn't act on....repressed ****-sexuality.....I have to assume that these kind of feelings have to mess up a guy brought up in the community/lifestyle that he has been.

I don't think the rope and knife were tied to the pick-up either. I got that Alby picked up the guy, I got that Alby freaked when it actually came time to act, and the pick-up got freaked by Alby's freak and ran. But what was really strange was Alby's quick recovery- as soon as the door closed when the guy left he was fine!

I have no idea what he's supposed to do for Roman, guess we'll have to see.

A lot of very strange behaviors on that show, I'm trying to think if there's been one close to normal character...

Sure is entertaining, though!

At first, I got the impression that Alby acted like that because Roman tried to sexually abuse him as a child and he got out of it by acting like that.

But, when he stopped freaking out and smiled at himself in the mirror, then I wasn't so sure.

:confused3

I think they're all nuts, but if I had to choose the closest to normal - I'd say Sarah.

I AGREE!! This show started off really slow for me, and I think I even skipped episodes 3 and 4, thinking that I just didn't like it enough to devote an hour to it each week. But, I love watching Bruce and Harry D, as well.

And yes, I'll admit it....the "romantic" (didn't know if we could use the "s" word on the DIS) scenes are kinda hot.

Exactly.....the head banging is his way of dealing with the situation, and once he was removed from the situation (the guy left), he was back to *normal*.

Pretty effective in helping develop him - (to me) he's even scarier today than he was yesterday.

Sarah is definately the one out of all of them that has it together the most! Or, so we see so far......

Which one is Sarah? Is that Bill and Barb's daughter?

Something is going to happen with her and that weird girl at the fast food place. She just seems like a creepy friend to have.

Yes. Sarah is their oldest daughter. The weird friend from the food place is Heather. She's quite religious, but doesn't believe in polygamy, so this is a storyline that is definitely going somewhere. ;)

I thought Roman's son smiled at himself in the mirror because he was pleased that he had resisted the temptation to "hook up" with the man he picked up. I thought he was banging his head against the wall to stop himself from being overtaken with "feelings."

As for the rope and the knife, DH and I thought that if he had gone through with the liasion, those items might have been potentially intended for use on the man he picked up. In any event, he is one scary character who definitely has issues going on in his head.

I LOVE this show! I'm willing to bet good money that Roman bails Nikki out of debt (without Bill's knowledge), leaving Bill owing him another $58k.

I didn't get the whole thing with Alby and the pick up either. I mean, I understand what he wanted but I don't get what happened or how that fits into the storyline. I'm pretty sure Roman would not only have a coronary but also excommunicate him if he ever found out so maybe it's headed that way? Maybe Alby will become Bill's ally when he's thrown out? Perhaps providing exactly the dirt Bill needs to take Roman down once and for all?

I missed some, who had a car accident? What happened?

Ben (Bill & Barb's son) got into a car w/some buddies. As they were driving, the driver decided to "excite" himself manually. He then said "Hey ... look ... "it's" driving the car!" The car swerved into another lane ... but I thought they got the car back under control. But, it turns out that the guy who was "handling" the wheel (among other things), crashed the car. Ben was left w/minor cuts and was more shaken up about it than anything else.

Right now, Ben is questioning what he wants to do w/his life (attend "Seminary" or be a polygamist like his father, etc.). And, of course, being a young man, he has been "rising to the occassion" and has been dating a "tempting" girl.

Hope this clears up any questions!!!!

As for Albie ... that was wierd, huh!?!?

Also, I think that Rhonda is going to "pull" some sort of stunt w/Roman. She knows too much ... or something! And, I'm waiting for something to happen between Ben and Margene!!!

I do have a question, though ... in the back yard, why don't they have any grass!?!?

The dirt is meant to represent the unconcious way Juniper Creek is recreated by the family. They try to seperate themselves from the compound - moving to a better neighborhood, putting in a pool (a suburbian *sign* of wealth)....but, no matter how much they try and dis-associate themselves from the past, the heritage remains.

The pool....that no one seems to use....guess that's supposed to represent some kind of center of life.....it's Bill's big blue pill as opposed to his little blue one. LOL.

Wow I bet you get invited to join a lot of book clubs!

I love this show! Started a thread awhile back, but it died. :(

Anyway, Alby is so so weird. Nikki is gonna get caught soon! Margene is playing with fire! Love Barb and the affair.

Am I right in thinking that with Barb, Bill doesn't need his little blue pill?
