Does anyone use the "Enter Celebration Information" on the dvcmember.com site? I'm just wondering about people's experiences with this since we just used points to book 2 nights at the Boardwalk and 2 nights at AKV as a wedding gift for my nephew.

I'm not really sure what to enter since it's not really a honeymoon--they're getting married this weekend and going to Italy on their honeymoon right away; the company they work for is sending them to FL for business in September and they're adding on the Disney trip. If I enter "honeymoon" on the Celebration info will they get honeymooner pins?

We used it last year but nothing was done about it when we arrived. We didn't even get the celebration buttons.

But, we were celebrating graduations and not something like a wedding. I would go ahead and enter the information as it certainly doesn't hurt!!!

I used it for the upcoming stay for some of our guests. We are celebrating 2 birthdays and 1 anniversary. The actual date is asked for. We'll see. 2 years ago DH and I got an anniversary certificate when we were celebrating 40 years at VB. Don't remember if I mentioned that when I made the reservation or I entered it on line.

We've never done it, but it can't hurt - - if they get "pixie dusted" all the better; if not, they won't know either way. :goodvibes

We did it for our split stay this month at AKV and BLT. We were celebrating 1 birthday and 1 graduation. We received buttons when we checked in at both resorts.

We used it last year for our 40th Anniversary and we got nothing. Not a pin, not a congratulations - nothing at all.
I didn't expect anything other than possibly a pin, so no big deal to us.

We used it for my brother's birthday this year 'n he got 2 pins. :D

We also entered that information for all restaurant reservations so he got all kinds of birthday desserts. :lmao:

Last spring we entered the anniversary for my daughter and SIL and it was not acknowledged. Last summer we entered first trip for my grandson's BIFs who were traveling with us, and both got a first trip button. Of course they were 15 and too embarrassed to wear it, but that's my job as a NANA, to embarrass them and I take my job seriously.

Our firt trip as members and we did enter it as it will be DD's b/day. She will be pleased with a pin and if anyone says 'Happy Birthday' to her:lmao: She saw so much of this last year and soooo wanted to have her b/day at the World, even if it meant no party for friends back home. Silly girl knew she'll end up getting both anyway;)

We will know in 2 weeks if it will be acknowledged or not.

We didn't even get a Welcome Home on our April trip or Portable Perks. When I booked our oldest's honeymoon trip in 2001 and MS knew it was a honeymoon, there wasn't even a congratulations- even with Bride and Groom ears on. If you don't expect it, you won't be disappointed.

I tried it for our visit last May.

We got a little card that said congratulations and there was a photopass discount card inside.

Kind of underwhelming, but we got really SPOILED by our previous trip. It was our 6th wedding anniversary - just the wife & I, no kids at the GF. There was a rose, a bottle of champaigne, and an autographed picture of Belle & the Beast congratulating us on our anniversary. All waiting in our room when we checked in.

According to what MS told me, each hotel has a person's whose job it is to look through the celebration information entered in the ressie notes for the day's arrival. That person's got a small budget per day to sort of spread some pixie dust.

The last 2 anniversaries we have gotten a 5x7 photo of Minnie and Mickey in front of the castle with what looks alike a autograph that was made into the photo card (not signed after the fact- does that make sense? :confused3) there is a 20% off photopass card with it. We've gotten the buttons at check in and often the person checking us in says congratulations. Two years ago it was a big deal with Mickey confetti at all of our TS dining locations and usually a free dessert. That was during the end of Year of a Million Dreams and the very beginning of What will you celebrate. This year not as much just the stuff at the resort.

It is worth a try because anything would be better than nothing.:lovestruc

In May we were celebrating my DGD's 7th birthday and she received a pin and at different restaurants she received a cupcake (not all the restaurants) and that was it.

My DH & I will be going in August (made reservations through CRO using the AP 40% room-only discount and are staying in a studio at OKW) and we did enter our wedding anniversary information where indicated. This week I received the info about our vacation and it mentions different times about us celebrating our anniversary. I'm not expecting anything so we will see.

I think you should go ahead and enter the information. It won't hurt and maybe there will be surprises in store!:)

We entered celebration information for a trip we took last month. It was our nieces first trip to WDW. We got a pre-recorded phone call to our room phone from Goofy, wishing us a great first trip!

We did it for DS(26) birthday a few weeks ago. He received a button, a card on his birthday and a voice message on the room phone from Mickey on his birthday. He wore the button one day and everywhere he went CM's would start singing to him...even when walking on the street! Needless to say, the button did not stay on all day! :lmao:

My daughter received a pin and card for her birthday when we checked in at BLT over Spring Break. I also entered in her birthday info. for the 2 restaurants where we ate on her birthday - Chef Mickey's and Narcoossees. Chef Mickey's brought her a cupcake with a candle and Narcoossees printed a special Happy Birthday menu for her. I ordered a cake from them, so I'm not sure if she would have received a free dessert if the cake weren't ordered. She was wished a happy birthday by several cast members at MK and AK while she wore her button.

my birthday the day BEFORE we arrive, and my son's Birthday several days After we leave. Not sure I qualify, but we'll be celebrating none the less.

I entered a birthday and an anniversary. We had buttons for both at check in at SSR, the Greeter sang a birthday song to DH and gave him a balloon bouquet. Later on at dinner, he received a drink, coffee and desert courtesy of Fulton Crabhouse (along with the DVC 20% discount!!!). On our anniversary, the Cali Grill had decorated our table and our server comped us a couple of martinis. It was not expected, and was very much appreciated. Believe me - their tips reflected the service.

The server at Fulton's Crabhouse - one of the best I have every had - over the past - close to 25 years of going to WDW with DH. Her name was Jennyfer. She is Outstanding!!!!

I have entered 2 birthdays and an anniversary for our upcoming trip. All happen just before we arrive in WDW, but that is the reason we are going on this vacation, so we'll see if it is acknowledged under the "What Will You Celebrate?" theme.

Personally, I would be thrilled if they gave DD a birthday button. DH & I are really not bothered if our celebrations are even mentioned.

Love it!!
