DOes anyone use "natural" cleaners, laundry detergent, etc?

DS is at risk for asthma, and I just want to use less chemicals in general.

Does anyone have products they use and like? Particularly for the dishwasher?

Thanks!

Sorry, no advice for you here...I keep hearing how dirty the rivers are, so I figure the more soapy suds I send down the drain, the better...

We use white vinegar to clean wood and linoleum floors most
of the time. We have only one rug as they collect allergens. Our
vacumn has a hepa filter. I don't use anything to dust with-just an old diaper. DS is allergic to most cleansers, for some reason Comet is ok so I use it to clean the bathrooms. Other than Comet, we are dioxin free. Even use natural deodorants without aluminum. I haven't found a dishwasher soap replacement. I'd be interested in trying one though.

You might look into Lemi Shine. It's especially good for hard water, but you may be able to use it as your only detergent (or as a final rinse agent with a "natural" detergent). It's the only thing that will get my glasses sparkly and my plastic containers clean without soap residue.

Vinegar is an all-around good product for a lot of things!

A trip to your local health food/organic store would probably help, too. The clerks there are usually quite knowledgeable about the products they stock.
