Mine, too. That's why my angel has disappeared. My website is also down. No caption game today either. I had a good one, too.... Hopefully it will be fixed soon, unless this is permanent.
I was in earlier this afternoon then kaboom, it just went down! I thought it was my computer so I tried the other one here and the same thing happened.
I wouldn't be too optimistic about it coming back.Boomerweb has had a notice up for almost 3 months telling people that the webspace was not intended for multiple websites to store clipart. He probably finally pulled the plug.
They yanked the plug on me about a month ago. It was bound to happen. That much bandwith is expensive and they haven't been getting anything in return.
olena: Your own server or not, it's the bandwith that is the culprit. Diskspace and software are trivial compared to the cost of that much data transfer.
Well, it's not for free and I hope people aren't tired of me touting this webhosting provider, but at $12 a year Worldzone is one of the nicer ones around. A lot of people here on the DIS use it, including the illustrious Dan Murphy. Of course, Dan had to upgrade to even more space with all the pictures he's hosting, but for most people, the $12 a year is just plenty.
Check it out. With boomerweb possibly being down, I don't know of any other free hosting providers that allow hotlinking.
Oh great! I just noticed a little while ago that my clippie was gone, then saw this thread. Tried to go to Boomerweb and I get a forbidden message!
I lost all my pics and all my clippies!
I also had to go to the silver pro plan, JC, and it is great. I do have hundreds of pictures and quite a few cliparts for posters here, so the bandwidth did get used up on the $12 package. But I would say for most folks the $12 one is great.
