Judge approves Michael Jackson film
Aug. 10, 2009, 11:20 AM EST
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Audiences will get to see the King of Pop perform one more time, after a judge approved a major movie deal.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved a deal between Michael Jackson's estate, concert promoter AEG Live and Columbia Pictures on Friday and announced his ruling Monday.
A proposed contract states the movie will feature footage of Jackson's final rehearsals for a planned series of London comeback concerts. The film could also include videos prepared for display during the This Is It shows.

Beckloff had until Monday to approve the film and allowed Jackson's mother, Katherine, to review the contracts and raise any objections. Jackson died on June 25, days before he was set to embark to England for his comeback shows.
Everyday I sit and ask myself how did love slip away.
I am here with you....
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart.
Me too.
I hope its kid friendly-ish. My kids have been so immersed in MJ the past several weeks, that Id love to take them. bUt if not, thats ok too. They'll be old enough one day no matter what. (EDIT: I dont mean I want it pink and blue and sugar coated. I guess I mean I just want the performance and maybe some MJ commentary. I hope they dont hash up old lies and BS.)
This is SO GOOD! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Z8k5ChsX8&feature=related
Are they ever going to release the autopsy results?
If that doctor was in fact responsible, he needs to be held accountable..
I decided HWH!
I read two things last night: That Katherine Jackson was considering a wrongful death case against Dr. CM. That makes me wonder if there was something in the autopsy that will be good for the doc of doom.
Also Joe says that sweet MJ will be laid to rest on his birthday next week.
I am soooo glad he is FINALLY being laid to rest. It's crazy it's taken this long. I am a little disappointed it's not at Neverland or at least a place the public can visit. I understand the need for security for MJ but I think he would have wanted his fans to be able to visit him. RIP MJ.![]()
I didn't believe him. IMHO it was an attempt at damage control on his part. A little late for that if you ask me. He's been invited on multiple shows since very early on to tell his story and he wouldn't. I can't help but wonder who his supporters are since he is in hiding with bodyguards because of soooo many death threats. The video probed NOTHING to me and really just made me more angry at him.
I will say the way he looked in the video compared to the photos we had previously seen show he has either aged from the stress because of all this and his financial problems or either the other photos were old.
I read today that they are expecting to file manslaughter charges in the next 2 weeks. I hope that's true. The article also said they wanted to go for 2nd degree murder with no motive but were concerned a jury might have a problem with no motive. I think they want to make sure the charges stick.
