Just another thought based on our last trip...

Although we bought BCV in may of 2003 and it is our home resort, I can't help but to feel like BWV is our "home"

We fell in love with the resort when staying there a few years back, at the Boardwalk Inn. And after buying in May we have stayed there two more times. Not by choice either , I must say. I tried to get BCV both times with no availability. Now , i have a trip planned this may at BCV and just afraid I am not going to like it as well as BWV.

Theres just some thing about the whole atmosphere to me that makes me feel like it's my special place in the world. ( even thoughnot my home resort:( )

Anyone else??

So far we have stayed in all of the DVC resorts except for the BCV at least once. While we have enjoyed all of them we find ourselves thinking of our actual home resort, OKW, as "home". We also own some points at HH but OKW is home for us. It just fits us perfectly.

Definitely! We think of OKW as "home", and I was glad to go to the OKW annual meeting last week. We own at VWL, but in our hearts, we're OKW owners.

We own at VWL and haven't stayed there yet (our 1st trip is in a week, we are really looking forward to it!) However we LOVE BCV and really feel it is our home. I wish we had waited for BCV to go on sale, but so far we haven't had a problem getting in. We adore the themeing of BCV, the location and the pool. The theming at VWL isn't personally what we like as much. When we go to FLA we want a warm beachy feel, not camping. However our next trip in Jan, should be good timing. I hear WL is wonderful when it is a tad chilly out.

My heart belongs to BCV, my deed and dues to VWL.

We also look forward to trying out each DVC resort at least once! (inculding Vero Beach and HH)

As a DVC member with BWV as my home resort and someone that loves everything about BWV, I can assure you, you will love staying at BCV also. IMO there are not any 2 other DVC resorts that are as similiar as BWV and BCV. If you love BWV you will love BCV. Yes there are some differences like BCV has access to SAB, BWV villas have better views, BWV is more centrally located to the main pool, restaurants and shops, while BCV has wonderful common areas and the beach, but overall the 2 resorts are very, very similiar. BCV has more elevators also, I thought I died and went to heaven when I saw BCV had elevators also at the end of the building!
You will love BCV. I would avoid getting a room with an Epcot view though. A LOT of rooms with an Epcot view--which provides a very close up view of Illuminations--also is located right on a very busy service road which has a lot of traffic and noise. To me, the very nice view of Illuminations fireworks was not worth having a room in this location, but you may feel differently.
Enjoy your trip!!

Yes, I agree with everything the previous poster said about BWV and BCV. 2 weeks ago I stayed one night at BWV specifically to compare the 2 resorts. Decision-they're VERY similar. It was the sand, more beachy feel, that gave the nod for BCV to me. However, I can see how it would be a very tough choice. I also agree with avoiding the Epcot view rooms. I thought they were supposed to be best, but I was disappointed with mine because of the service road. Next time I hope to go back to the woods/wetlands view-my favorite.

Our home resort is Vero and HATE it. Will not go back again! Our adopted home resort is WL.

I think you will also love BCV. I haven't "went Home" yet. But, I have stayed at all three Epcot Disney Resorts and have enjoyed each one on it's own merits. I truly believe you will find just as much to enjoy at BCV.

I also plan on trying other DVC resorts other than BWV, my home resort. I want to try each so that I can also enjoy the atmosphere that owners of other DVC resorts enjoy.

Have a great trip!:)

We bought at SSR, so obviously we have not seen the resort. But - we know Disney is a top notch organization and we are sure it will be beautiful.

At the same time, DVC gives you the opportunity to use all their properties which is a great thing. Some people are very attached to their home resorts and seem a bit upset when people book another resort other than their "home" all the time.

I love the location of BWV and BCV as Epcot and MGM are a walk away. And MK is as easy as hopping the monorail from Epcot. So except for AK, you have easy access to all the parks from these 2 resorts. I know people with little kids probably would not want to walk to MGM, or all the way across Epcot to catch a monorail, but myself and DW love doing that.

VWL are another resort we plan on staying at - we love the theme and think it is just a stunning resort. And since the ticket and transportation center are right there - it is another easy travel location as far as I am concerned.

Honestly - I hope in my time as a DVC member we get to try them all. We booked SSR for our first DVC vacation to try out our "home", but I plan on hitting them all!!!!
