No, I don't think that Disney will lower the price per point. Although the stock market has taken a dive and we're hearing that there's a one-in-three chance that we'll tumble into recession, there is still lots of cash on the sidelines. TONS of cash. All that money being pulled out of the market isn't all going into bonds.
Also, housing starts are up and with the fed dropping rates, lots and lots of folks are refinancing their mortgages or going for home equity loans. The people who are "re-fying" may also be pulling equity out of their homes. So there's lots of cash out there.
If sales slow down you may see Disney go back to offering 10 bucks a point for their Magical Beginnings program, but that's it. They *just* changed that to only 5 bucks a point but raised the length of time to one year's worth of points. That benefits them for sure. For that say, 150 point contract they'll take the $750 that they "paid" you as a new member and make *way* more selling those nights that you gave back. It's a bad deal for what they're offering right now. I'd pass on it for sure.
