Does anyone take their kids out school for DVC?

One could, but the population on these boards isn't representative of the country (ergo, it's made up of people fixated on Disney, who are probably more likely to yank kids out of school than families in general).

I'm sure there are plenty of parents here (myself included) that plan their Disney trips around the school calendar.

Not necessarily. We don't take our children out of school for vacation.
