Does anyone take caffeine pills?

I take caffeine pills when racing and on really long training rides or runs. A 200 mg tablet is about the same as one cup of coffee so there is no jittery side affects, like I was afraid of.

They do make a chewing gum now that has caffeine. I haven't tried that yet, but supposedly it isn't too bad and the caffeine goes directly into your system as it is absorbed by the mouth. Maybe buy a pack of the gum to have on hand when you cut down on the soda.

I'm an unsweetened iced tea drinker so I can't give anyone grief over their coffee or soda needs.

I've heard of caffeinated water. Something about it being developed for use on exchange trading floors where only clear water is allowed.

I take them. I don't like the way coffee tastes, so it's what I use to wake up.

Isn't caffeine rather bitter? I've heard that one of the reasons why robusta coffee is often though of as off-tasting is because the caffeine content is higher, and that there's less coffee flavor to mask the bitterness.

I have only a few experiences with caffeine pills. They don't look coated, and I think some versions are chewable. I thought they might taste a bit bitter, like an uncoated decongestant tablet.

When I was in middle school I drank Water Joe, which was caffeinated water equivalent to a cup of coffee. I haven't seen it since but I just looked it up and the company still exists, the the closest store to me that sells it is in Wisconsin (I'm in Washington!)

Looked it up, and that company started in the mid-90s, but I remember something from maybe the late 80s. The company I was thinking of is likely out of business now.

I don't think it's necessarily that original an idea to add water to caffeine. There seem to be something like a half dozen caffeinated water brands these days. Most don't seem to be that strong. A large cup of a west coast strength drip coffee probably has about double the caffeine.

Yeah not strong. I don't drink coffee or soda so it might appeal to me.

I take caffeinated multivitamins daily. They contain 50 mg of caffeine, which is not as much as in a straight caffeine pill. I've been taking them for several years, and I have not suffered any ill-effects.
