Does anyone string popcorn anymore?

tried it once and it was sooo hard on the fingers we swore never again.

However I do remember many many yrs. of making those paper chains to put on the tree.

Yes! I was just looking online to see if they had the little packages of them with the gummed back. I used to get them in my stocking every year. Couldn't find them tho.

Thanks everyone for sharing your memories. I will pop the corn tonight and string it Monday or Tuesday. Once we take down the tree I will put it on the tree outside for the animals.

That's just what we were planning to do! You can also slice cored apples really thin and string those to hang outside for the birds.

If you want another fun treat for the birds. Get a foam or straw wreath and pin cranberries, semi-dried orange and apple slices and other seasonal berries and some nuts to the wreath until the core is completely covered. After Christmas hang on a tree.
