Remember the dye that came in the little bottles?

You filled a large bowl with cold water, I *think* (not really sure) you put vegetable oil in it, dabbed drops of the dye to float on top of the water, then swirled your eggs in it. You could change the colors by dumping the water, wiping the bowl with a paper towel, and start over.

They made the prettiest Easter eggs. I haven't been able to find this egg coloring kit now for many years. I would love to use this again, as it made the prettiest eggs.

I know that once upon a time there was a kit they sold so that you could do that to t shirts, paper, anything that would take paint. It was probably on Amazing Discoveries. Anyway the crazy part was that they filled a swimming pool and dipped the frame of a Volkswagen beetle in it.

Totally not what you were talking about, but it reminded me of that.

Happy Easter.

My grandmother made those eggs when I was a kid. I'm 42 so that was a long time ago. Her eggs were the most beautiful eggs I have ever seen. You did not want to eat them because they were to nice to wreck. I have never seen eggs like that.
