There is this one skit I remember and the family always got scared really easy, and when they did they would scream and their hair would stand straight up. I remember watching it and laughing so hard I couldn't breathe! My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I remember it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Christine:jester: :)

SCTV was my favorite. And I remember the skit that you are talking about. Seeing Dave Thomas' hair standing straight up was hillarious. I checked the internet, but the only reference that I found mentioned a program from 1984 called "The New Show" that starred a lot of the SCTV players. Maybe that's where I saw the "hair raising" skit.

I don't remember that particular skit, but I do remember SCTV.

YEARS ago, when I was in college in Erie PA, I had a small portable TV in my room that had rabbit ears. No completely wired dorm rooms in THOSE days. :)
One of the few stations that I got was a station from Ontario that carried SCTV on Saturday nights. (I believe? )

When I saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding, as soon as I saw Andrea Martin, I said "SCTV!"

I also remember watching Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.

Good memories for me. I loved my college years...

:)

Don't remember that skit. My favorites were Rick Moranis as Andy Griffith and Eugene Levy as Floyd the barber. Also when Andrea Martin was Indira Ghandi doing a spoof of "Evita".:D

I loved SCTV as well.. it was a very late night staple for me as well.

I don't remember that skit either.

And yes, I saw Andrea Marton on Greek Wedding, and I said to my DH.. that s SCTV!

And did you know Mia (the star of Greek Wedding).. was on a more recent SCTV?

The Doug and Bob Mackenzie brothers skits were always hilarious. Eugene Levy is a genius.

Sorry for the late reply:D

I am so glad someone remembers that skit!! Now my husband won't think I'm so crazy!;) I can say Krisu and Towncrier remember it too! I did similar searches last night, but couldn't come up with that skit anywhere!:(

Oh well..at least I didn't dream it:p

I loved SCTV.
I don't remember that skit though.
My favorite skit was "Half Wits" - a spoof on "Jeopardy." My sister and I still quote it to this day.
