When I was a kid I remember this drink Moxie. I thought that the bottle was pretty cool but it was the most vile stuff I have ever tasted. I was trying to describe it to my DS who wanted to know what flavor it was. I didn't know what flavor it was then and I can't name it now. How would you describe Moxie? It seems as if I have seen it recent years but not in the last two or three. Is it still around?

Festival every year......it is disgusting to drink though....but they have a good time and it revolves around this Moxie.......yuck

Vile is too nice a word to describe Moxie.

:scared:

I would describe it as rootbeer without the sugar plus a little road tar and Beverly mixed in for good measure (and I LOVE Beverly).

OMG do you really love Beverly??? My son loves to go in there and point to Beverly and tell people this is the best one just to watch them drink it. I keep telling him hes going to be smacked one day.

I've seen it in Maine.

That's where I used to try to drink it!!!

If you have a World Market store anywhere close to you, they carry it there. My husband and I had seen it so many times on the Food Network specials, that when we saw it in the store, we had to try it. I have to agree, it was pretty vile:eek:

I honestly do. Last week I went into Ice Station Cool several times to fill up on Beverly. I even asked a CM if I could buy it anywhere and she suggested that I bring in a regular sized cup and take as much as I wanted.

It is rather amusing to watch the reactions to Beverly.

How about a DIS meet/Beverly drinking contest. Anyone want to take me on?

I saw a TV show that discussed Moxie Soda and showed the festival they have for it. While perusing Hometownfavorites.com I saw that she had it and ordered some. Being from California I had never heard of it. It came and I chilled it and tried some. What a shock. It is like a cross between Root Beer and Beverly. After the second can I started to enjoy it though and am thinking of ordering some more!!!

My father used to drink Moxie.

When I was a child, I'd see him eating a snack with a soda and assumed it was Pepsi so I'd ask for a sip. If he said, yes, too quickly, I learned the hard way I'd be sipping Moxie! YUK!

What is Beverly? Is that something in the Epcot Coca Cola cooling station? We are going in a couple weeks... I'll have to try it! Or get DH or DS to try it! LOL ;)

If you want some let me know and I'll send it to you Dawn. It's personally NEVER touched my lips....... I've heard about it though.

My dad used to drink it when I was a kid. I actually liked the taste of it and always wanted some too. (And I do not like Beverly at Epcot.) I tried it a few years ago and they have added sweetness to it so it doesn't quite have the same "bite" that it used to have. My younger DS likes it too. I haven't seen it in our area in quite a while.
