Does anyone remember a blue peel-off face mask?

I was just remembering way back when I was a teenager......

There was this cobalt blue brush on face mask that had a great smell and dried like plastic which when dry you would then peel off.... I can't remember the name of it?

OMG my sister used it all the time.....I remember stealing some when she was out....we are 7 years apart so I always wanted what she had. I can see the tube in my mind and can even smell it. LOOKED like ice blue jelly.

I remember that stuff too! I wish I could remember what it was called. I also wish I could find any stuff that did that now. Everything I find is a scrub or regular mask, but no peel-off mask. :( It worked great!

I remember a blue one like you've described and it was put out by Max Factor. Never did a thing for my skin! :sad2:

Bath and Body Works has a pretty good peel off mask from their spa collection........I also love their 20%Shea butter foot cream.

Thank you! I'll have to check it out--this has been a couple year's search for me, I'm embarrassed to admit.

No, it wasn't Avon. It was definitely something you could just go out and buy. I distinctly remember using the brush to paint it on and it had a real distinctive smell.

I had a green one with the name Mint Julip in it...am I helping at all.

I remember the mask, but not the name!

 I have just become aquanited with the peel off.. I am looking at the jar right now. It is called MAX FACTOR MINT WHIP 4 FL. OZ
I know this jar is as old as the hills and would like to replace it with new product. I have only started my search. guess Max Factor would be the first step.

It's not the Biore one that warms up and turns a different shade of blue when it's done?

That may not have been a peel off now I think of it.

I remember a Cucumber peel off mask from Avon.

I also remember using MUDD! LOL

Is this the one you were thinking of? The first version of this mask was really cool- it was 'blue man' blue, and dried like latex, you peeled it off and it smelled great. Max Factor had another version of this about 10 years later, it dried from that same blue to a pale blue and was a rinse off style, no where near as fun as the original, imo:sad1:

Not sure how far back your memory is but I do remember in the late 80s/early 90s a blue peel off face mask. You didn't paint it on and it dried a light, ice blue. I feel like it might have been by Noxzema maybe? I can't remember..it had an icy/menthol feel to it and I remember using it a lot as a teen but I can't remember the brand..maybe not Noxzema but Neutrogena? The one I am thinking of I felt like was a brand I knew at the time and was definitely something you bought at the grocery or drug store.

ETA-I was like this when dried/peeled off (found this random image on the web and it matches what I remember the dried one looking like:

I remember the blue mask. I alsways thought that's where Mel Gibson got the idea of the blue face in Braveheart.

When I peeled off the mask, I had only areas where stuff came out of my pores, like on my nose. The rest was just dead skin cells coming off.

If it was the same for you, you can simply replace the mask with a microderm abrasion scrub to remove the dead skin cells, and use the Biore peel off strips for the nose & forehead. Now THAT is gross when you peel one of those off and see what was stuck in the pores! :scared1:

It's like a train wreck..it's gross but you can't help but look. One of my guy friends did one of those once and was torn between disgust and fascination when he peeled it off. :rotfl:
