Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is...

Other than an old Chicago song, does anyone have a clue when the 50th really ends. I read somewhere it was supposed to stop on Sept 30th, 2006.
But after reading many threads, it seems as if everyone has their own opinion. A URL to a Disney annoucement would help.

I googled it but only found vague references to the end of 2006. Somewhere I heard it was end of September.

Disney has changed their minds a couple of times. Now, its just a guess. The latest word is: The 50th deco (50 gold mickeys, gold tink's on the light posts, etc), will come down in Sept. The parade and fireworks should go until the end of the year.

Oh! Should have read this thread first... I just posted the date I got from Disney today: Oct. 2nd.

Thanks for the posts. I have a friend still in Iraq and he wants to take his family to DLR before the 50th ends, so he is trying to get out of there by mid September but his contract does not end until mid October..that's why I need a firm date.

I will be glad to see some off the crowd insanity get back to some type of normalcy. It did help to get the park cleaned up and many places a fresh coat of paint. I hope the maint> continues.
