Does anyone own at all/many the DVC resorts?

I was just curious. And if you do, how did you break up your points and how do you use them in a given time period (1 yr. 2 yr. 3 yr.)

My DH and I think we would easily love to have points at all of the DVC resorts, but that does not fit in with our finances or the times we can currently vacation.

As we plan for future add-ons, we are trying to see what most people do.

We own at 3: Beach Club, Boardwalk and Old Key West. BCV & OKW we own about the same number of points. BWV we own a bit less.

BCV & BWV : We do an annual vacation with my parents and bought these specifically for the home resort advantage. We usually go right after Thanksgiving and needed that 11 month window. Short trips we know about well in advance we use these points for. We won't use all BCV the points this year so will be banking the extra.

OKW: We are using these points when we want to do last minute trips. This year I am also using them to send one of my employees on a vacation with her family.

Besides some of the honest people I'm sure the commercial renting guys own plenty at different resorts. Sorry not really an answer to your question.

We own at 3 currently (SSR 275, BWV 125, & VWL 50) and will be adding 100 at VAKL. The logic behind buying the intial 3 is this:

VWL - stay in Jan (fits the mood with all of the fireplaces)

BWV - stay in Oct (F & W) and also May (anniversay)

SSR - stay in Dec (close to DTD shopping)

The remaining points are either banked or we use to visit OKW or BCV.

I am adding VAKL because it is one of my favorite resorts and my son will get to use it after I am gone.

I bought a 50 point OKW contract resale to get into the system. Since then I've added on through DVC a 50 point BWV contract for Food & Wine Festival. I've also added on two 25 point BCV contracts for Stormalong Bay. I'll probably add on a 25 point contract at V AKL shortly.

I bought all three resorts sight unseen. I finally met my guide around Labor Day, so I have been to SSR. First trip home to BWV this May. I'll be at BCV for Columbus Day. My plan is to alternate between BWV and BCV each year using the OKW points to supplement.

160 points, 100 VWL and 50 BCV.

We probably will sell the BCV points and buy at VWL do we have a good split.

We had planned to buy at AKV but I fell in love with VWL so I am very happy switching off between SSR and VWL with a weekend here or there at HH.
