Does anyone out there want to be my Dis Friend? 3 PTRs and 1 1/2 TRs in Progress!

Thanks for sharing the pumpkin patch pics, love the baby pumpkin, so cute.

Your plans are sounding great. I am waiting til after the vacation is paid off to work on the details of each day. I can't wait to do it either, but really want input from the kiddos, so wont be doing it til end of December.

Looks like you guys had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch...this is a tradition for us too...so much fun!

Not sure if I answered you, but yes, our breakfast on 12/2 is 1900 Park Fare, this was DDs first encounter with the characters at 6 months old so we try to make it back there at least once a year. It is fun to see the pictures as she changes, but everything else stays the same :goodvibes Hopefully we'll run into each other at the GF.

We'll be leaving early tomorrow for our October trip to the world...don't know how much time I'll be spending online... so I'll have some catching up to do when we get back :surfweb:

Love the pumpkin patch pictures. Looks like you guys had a great time. :)

Just one little suggestion...I'd leave just a few minutes earlier...maybe 10...to catch that bus to the MK just in case you just miss one.

Thanks for the suggestion! The goal is to get out of the door as early/quickly as possible but my mom doesn't really do mornings :rotfl: so this is the latest deadline I give her :lmao:. But, you're right, it's off time so we could just miss a bus... better make the cutoff earlier! :thumbsup2

Love the pumpkin patch pictures. Claire's class is going to one next week, and I am driving. She's gone to it the last 2 years as well, and they usually have a nice hayride, but it always is on a cold day. LOL!
I'm not sure yet if we are going to wat the electrical parade. I have a chip on my shoulder that Spectro isn't back yet. LOL!

My aunt is a Kindergarten teacher and I went with her class a couple years ago and it was FREEZING! DBF and I try to pick a weekend where the weather looks promising.. though this year it was like 75 degrees and didn't feel like fall at all! :confused3 Go Figure.

I would want to get their input too if I was you... don't want to take any chances of missing one of their Must-Dos. Plus with four that can't be an easy task! But, I look forward to reading your plans in December!

I really like the 1900 PF breakfast! We tried it on our departure day last trip and it was fun! I really liked the Mad Hatter. That's a cute tradition! I wish we had some type of tradition like that... maybe I'll start one in the future when I have a kids... And Hopefully we'll run into each other!

have fun on your trip tomorrow!!! The fall is my favorite time to visit so far! (though that may change after Dec) I'll look forward to hearing about your trip when you get back!

The plans look great. However, I checked the schedule and I think Main Street Electric Parade is at 7pm. Will you be able to find a good spot at 7:15pm?

Sorry, missed your post earlier. I think you're right. I used my plans from last year and didn't bother checking at the moment because I was at work. I'll have to go back and change it! Thanks!!

Ok, so today is the 6 Weeks till Disney mark! So, that means a new countdown! For this week I've chose... Favorite Characters! I broke mine into categories:

6. Favorite Dwarf: Dopey
5. Favorite Fab 6: Daisy Duck
4. Favorite Fairy: Rosetta (just wait)
3. Favorite Princess: Ariel (I swear if I could be part of her world, I would never ask for more)
2. Favorite Villan: Captain Hook
1. Favorite Overall: Tinker Bell !!

So, What are yours? You don't have to break them into categories but that seemed easiest for getting 6.

What characters are you looking forward to meeting most? I want to meet the 7 Dwarfs, Vidia, and the Prince(s)!

Happy six weeks!!!

I stuck with your categories, otherwise this would take me forever to choose  ......

6. Favorite Dwarf: Dopey -- He's just toooo cute!
5. Favorite Fab 6: Gotta go with Mickey ::MickeyMo
4. Favorite Fairy: I don't know the Fairies  so I'll stick with Tink :)
3. Favorite Princess: Cinderella -- A Fairy Godmother, a magical transformation and dancing with Prince Charming at a royal ball in the castle.... sigh!
2. Favorite Villan: Malificent -- I LOVE to hate her!
1. Favorite Overall: Mickey -- For everything that he stands for. Mickey IS Disney. My very favorite Disney icon is the Partners statue with Walt holding Mickey's hand. :goodvibes

Edit: Forgot to say who I was looking forward to..... Tiana & Naveen!

I have never ever seen a pumpkin patch in the UK. Dont think we have any!

We buy ours from the supermarket which is nowhere near as much fun!
Love the baby one!

Ok, so I tried to cheat a little and us my touring plans from last year and it turned around to bite me. I guess that's what I get for being lazy...

Anyway, here's my revisions:

Our dinner reservation at Kona Cafe is at 5:10pm. (I think I put 5:45)

Main Street Electrical Parade will be running (I listed Spectro without even thinking)

MSEP starts at 7:00pm. We will get seat as soon as we get back to MK after dinner.

We will watch Wishes at 8:00pm.

There are Extra Magic Hours from 10pm-1am.

We will probably go straight to the Fairies Meet & Greet after Wishes (really short wait at this time in April) if we didn't get to meet Vidia yet.

We will have to ride Splash Mountain last because it is always our last attraction.

Ok, did anyone else notice any mistakes? I'm SURE I missed some more so please let me know*

Also, this whole website refurb is killing me... I freaked when I opened it and saw the msg that said I currently have no dining reservations :scared1: But, all is good. I have my confirmation #s saved in my comp but I'm gonna make a little document to keep track of all of them and carry it into the park with me.

Day 8: Dec. 7, 2010 - Departure :sad2:

I usually like to schedule a later flight so we can at least do one last character breakfast before it's time to leave. However, this trip, we're using frequent flyer credits and and the only flight I could get was at 10:20am. This means that the Magical Express will probably be picking us up around 7:20am. It's about a 2 1/2 hour flight back to Pittsburgh and we're scheduled to land at 12:35 pm. I'll probably hang out at my parents for a little bit before heading back to Cleveland. But, the good news is...

TRIP #2 starts 3 days later!!!:cool1:

Good idea to carry your confirmation numbers with you for your ADR's (I never trust the Disney system). Your next trip is 3 days later? Where are you going 3 days later? What did I miss?

Haha, that's why I did the categories too. I was afraid I'd never be able to choose if I didn't. It's fun reading about everyone's favorites and I love the Partners statue too!! We did the Mickey's Magical Milestones tour in March 2009 and they gave the history behind the statue's design. It was awesome!

Oh, and Tiana and Naveen were such a fun meet & greet! We waited in POURING rain to meet them and when we went to pose for the picture, my brother apologized for being so wet and Naveen in an adorable accent goes "that's ok.. I secrete mucus all day long" then when my brother said he lived in L.A. and worked on a tv show, Naveen went on and on about how he was a movie star and that he tried to talk them into using his real face but that they insisted on making him in "animated" form. We were all laughing the whole time. He really knew his character and story line.

I have never ever seen a pumpkin patch in the UK. Dont think we have any!

We buy ours from the supermarket which is nowhere near as much fun!

Hm, I agree... I would the grocery store wouldn't be as much fun. And, now to think about it. I don't think I've ever gotten mine at a grocery store. They certainly sell them but we used to at least go to a farm and now the patch. Do you have any farm type places?

Mine are in red.

You have some good favorites! I knew you would pick Grumpy for your fav Dwarf after reading your TR! I love Tigger too! He's just so much fun! When I was little, everyone in my family was associated to one of the characters from the Hundred Acre Wood after my aunt coined me Whitney the Pooh.

I don't really trust the system either, and especially after this update they're running.. I don't want to take any chances.

We're going to Big Sky, Montana. Since I just finished the details about Trip #1, I'm going to give more details on this trip starting in a couple days. I might cover the whole trip in one update though because it's short and well, unlike Disney, there wasn't anything to plan...

6. Favorite Dwarf: Bashful. When he says "Do ya have to warsh where it doesn't show?" it cracks me up.
5. Favorite Fab 6: Minnie
4. Favorite Fairy: Don't know them well, so Tink?
3. Favorite Princess: Snow White
2. Favorite Villan: Evil Queen/Malificent
1. Favorite Overall: Right now, Chip 'N Dale

Top six characters, wow you're making this hard. I will try to narrow it down. I am going to make it easier on myself and go with top 6 characters at Disney World by experiences with them during previous trips.

6. Chip/Dale flirted with me at Chef Mickey's tried to take me away with them, Dan played along telling them they couldn't have me then. . .
5. Minnie Mouse came in and gave Dan a kiss on the cheek, too funny.
4. Goofy, just cuz I love the guy, what more can I say?
3. Meeko- tried to take Dan's turkey leg, it was hilarious
2. Smee- again picked on Dan, took off running with his pen
1. Stitch- picked on my hubby, even gave him the big L on his forhead (loser)

I honestly am excited to meet more princesses, more for my girls than for me, but I think last time we went we only met Belle and that was it, kind of sad. This time we have the Princess Dinner at Akershus so hopefully we'll get lucky.

I see you have a 5:10 at Kona. How long do you think it will take? We go the next week, and we have a 5:10 at WCC. I figured we won't make it back in time for the parade, or just as it is starting. My thinking is, if we see it, thats great, but if not, thats OK too. I hear it gets crazy crowded really early, so I figure there's not much chance of finding a good place to watch it that late.

That whole ADr thing is driving me nuts. I HATE calling Disney and was so happy to be able to just about everything online. I need to cancel 2 ADR's, but I just hate calling. I will soon, but I was hoping everything would miraculously show back up and I could just do it that way.
Now I wil lwait and see if we are for sure, 100% going or not, and then call. I want to add some other stuff, and cancel stuff, so might as wel ldo it al lat once.

I don't know if I have a favorite Character per se. I always love the Winnie the Pooh gang growing up. Growing up, I like Cinderella (I love her hair) and Snow White (because I wanted black hair. LOL) Claire's favorites are Belle and Ariel. And she's a big Daisy fan too.

So sorry I've gotten behind! Can't miss your countdowns though, so much fun!

Top 6:

1. Belle
2. Piglet
3. Snow White
4. Daisy
5. Kanga
6. Minnie

6. Favorite Dwarf: Bashful. When he says "Do ya have to warsh where it doesn't show?" it cracks me up.

That's a cute Bashful quote. I haven't seen the movie in a while so it makes me want to watch it again!

Aw, those are some cute interactions! Some of my favorite Disney memories are from character interactions. I LOVE when they really get into character and make fun comments. One time we were meeting Alice and this little boy ran into the back of our picture and started picking flowers. Well the photopass guy asked the little boy to stop and Alice goes "Well, those must be the mean flowers, I always pick the ones that are rude to me too" I also really enjoyed the interaction with Naveen. I told that story in an earlier post so I won't repeat it though.

I am a little worried about timing. We always eat around 5 when Kona opens for dinner but the parade is usually later. It usually only takes about an hour to eat so I figure if we get there a little early, we should be seated quickly because they'll just be opening and we always place our food and drink order together right away because we always get the same thing. I figure if we're out y 6:15 we'll take the monorail to MK and hopefully get there by 6:30. I'll judge how busy and crowded Main Street looks and if necessary we'll head of to Liberty Square or Frontierland to catch the parade there because it's usually less crowded. I don't really like calling Disney either and I've rescheduled ADRs so much that even looking through my Confirmation e-mails it's hard to remember which ones are right... I hope they fix it before my trip...

So sorry I've gotten behind! Can't miss your countdowns though, so much fun!

Top 6:

1. Belle
2. Piglet
3. Snow White
4. Daisy

6. Minnie

No worries! I'm glad you're enjoying the countdowns! I thought about my categories on Saturday and by the time Tuesday came I'd forgotten them and had to try to remeber. I forgot I was going to include the Favorite member of the Hundred Acre Wood. I ended up to doing Overall Favorite instead. Reading your list is what reminded me. I really like Kanga too but Pooh is my favorite because my Aunt used to call me Whitney the Pooh when I was little.

Side note: Anyone know where I can meet Piglet other than the Crystal Palace? In AK, it's always Eeyore, Tigger, and Pooh. In MK, it's usually just Pooh and Tigger now. And in Epcot, it's usually just Pooh and Tigger too.

I'm missing Piglet's autograph from my collection and I just can't seem to find (um.. is Piglet a boy or a girl) him/her? I have a scrapbook page set aside for Piglet so I need the autograph/picture. I made a reservation for Crystal Palace for my march trip just in case but I hate to wait till then... Plus, I'll probably cancel it if i can find Piglet before then.

I don't know if the four of them are out at the Christmas party like they were at the Halloween Party. But I found them up front in front of the Roy Disney statue. We have our pic every year taken with Pooh and Tigger (and sometimes Eeyore) in Epcot, but I've never seen Piglet there.

Just wanted to add that I'm in the 30 day range today! We're at 39 days but still very exciting! My Mickey Mail should be coming within the next 2 weeks most likely and I can't wait!:cool1:

I'm going to be really busy this weekend but I'm planning to give the plans for Trip #2 on Monday. Or maybe later today? So, thanks for reading! And, I hope you all stick around! It's been fun having you help plan!:flower3:
