Does anyone only stay at their home resort?

We tried BCV, but really prefer our home resort of BWV.

Sept will be our first trip "Home" so you know we're going to the BWV's. It was a spur of the moment decision so we got a preferred view. We also have an entire family trip (7 of us) planned in March (which I thought was going to be our first trip "Home" until our new points came through) and the March trip is a 2 BR BW view at the BWV's. After that, we may move around a little. The BW will always be THE PLACE for me, though. I love just to sit on the BW and people watch when I don't really feel like running the parks all day.

My hubby is like yours as well. He only wants to stay at SSR. I however, have this quirk where I want to try every Disney owned resort on property. Usually I win So after we do that we will be staying at "home" for our trips.

I've only make one trip outside of my home resort, VB which I didn't care for and VWL which I did like, but not as much as BCV.
For now I'm content with my home resort of BCV. I have 2 more trip there this year and at least 4 planned for next year.

I've stayed at all DVC except HH. I like them all but my favorites are my home resorts, BWV and BCV. The only times I stay elsewhere since I've tried them all is when it's a last minute trip and I can't get my home resorts.

Kind of funny...we've owned since 2001 and have never stayed @ our home resort (VWL)!! And we go 2 or 3 times a year! We're hoping to stay there someday!

We own at VWL and SSR.......we all love VWL, but, our last few trips have been to BWV and SSR.......I like both, but, the rest of the family would be content staying at VWL all the time. I really like BWV for the convenience of walking to Epcot and MGM. However, VWL has such a relaxing atmosphere after a busy day......almost like you really are in the wilderness just totally relaxing!!! SSR has the plus of being able to drive practically right up to your door ......very nice after a long day also. Also, SSR can be a nice destination in and of itself.....if you want a vacation with little park time....just some R & R. We're headed back to VWL in January.....great time of year to be at VWL....

I intend too, but time will tell. What sounds good now may get stale in ten years or so, especially if they don't get rid of that icky carpet.

We often stay at our home resorts (BCV and SSR) but do enjoy making a point of trying all the other resorts, too. So far we've stayed at least once at every one, with many visits to OKW (used to be available all the time) and only an overnight at HHI. That's our next target: we haven't had a chance to explore HH yet. VB is wonderfully relaxing; we've spent a week there over Xmas/NY's. It's close enough to WDW that you can drive up for a day, too.

We just joined this year and we bought where we intend to stay= BWV and VWL.

We bought where we wanted to stay-BWV. We have our 2nd trip planned there for Oct. We plan to book BWV at 11 mos (2BDR boardwalk view) for Dec 2007 and then maybe try to switch to BCV at 7 mos. DH keeps asking me if I'm sure I'd want to give up that 2 bdr boardwalk view! He'd be content staying at BWV every trip.

We own at BWV and OKW and tend to stay there. We stayed at VWL for the first time in March. I really don't care where we area, as long as we're at DVC!

We also own a 3 bdrm at Grande Vista and will be staying there for the first time in Oct. I'm scared that my 3 dds will like having their own "real" beds and want 3 bdrms every time!

We own at SSR. We have our 2nd trip booked for SSR in November and have stayed at BWV once. I love both of these resorts. They offer such different things. To be honest, I am trying to stay at each resort, so I can make an educated decision about where we want to do our next add-on. So far it will be BWV.

We generally stay at OKW, our home resort. We have stayed at SSR, BWV and BCV. We are looking forward to a visit to HH sometime in the next few years. Our plans to visit VB have been scuttled several times by hurricane activity. We prefer OKW to the other resorts, but all the DVC resorts have many attributes to recommend them in unique ways. It takes time to get to know each resort beyond the superficialities of a quick visit.

VWL is our home and still our favorite resort, but we have stayed at all of the other WDW resorts except OKW, and we will be there for one night in Oct. As I said, VWL is our favorite resort, but we will also be staying at the BWV in October due to its proximity to Epcot and the Food and Wine Festival!

We only stay at OKW - I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. It will always be the one true DVC to me.

We bought BWV. I almost always plan my vacations months and months in advance, so I'm booking "home." Then I'm too lazy to change. We enjoy the resort.

(I really like VWL,but I'm too lazy to change - it may be the only one I discover I need to change to, though).

Wow, only one night at anywhere other than OKW. That's loyalty! I'm just curious, have you stayed in a wide variety of buildings at OKW? Ever get the exact same room that you'd stayed in previously? DH is a big OKW devotee, so he'll love to hear this.
And I was wondering, why one night elsewhere? Was OKW not available? Or did you think you might try other resorts, then after 1 night, decided it just wasn't right for you.

We stayed at the BWV just to try it out - I didn't like it and my children were too young to really remember. I wanted to know when the shuttle bus was going to pick me up to take me to my room!!!! I also recall my son getting lost - not sure how he got away from us - but he was lost in the never-ending maze of hallways...
We have stayed in only a few buildings at OKW - 32, 33, 45, 46, and 43. And, yes, we have gotten the same room. We almost always rent a 2 bed NOT on the 1st floor by the water. I love to look at the critters but I do NOT want any in my room - particularly the snakes.
We're venturing out this trip (in FIVE days) - requested #55 (or 45,46) - woo hoo- living life on the edge!

I haven't stayed at DVC as an owner yet , just bought this spring. BUT of the last 10 satys at a DVC resort 1 BCV , 1 OKW , and 8 were BWV. I just bought BWV and the next 4 trips I have planned are for their , so I'll say I plan on just BWV but could end up somewhere else a couple of times. Who knows 36 more years is a long time.
