I have a PS here but I am thinking about cancelling.....DH is a big meater eater but I am not...also does it bother anyone that your meat is being carried across the room on a stick? For those of you who love it, I am not trying to offend, I am just looking for some reviews from folks who did not like it...thanks in advance to all.

I dont want to burst anyones opinion but my family and I truly didnt like OHANA's at all. Some of the food was too dry while the meat was too spicy. We had a PS and had to wait for almost an hour. It is an experience we like to forget but dont go on my opinion since I believe everyone needs to try things for themselves!!

I agree with Donaldsgrl103. We tried it and it was OK, but did not wow us.

OMG I loved this place and thought it was the best *BANG* for my buck

We have gone to O'Hanna's and loved it. The last time we went it was just alright. BUT.... We are going to give it a try again this weekend so I will get back with a response.

Our first trip to Ohana we weren't wowed and thought the place was severely over rated. We're trying it again on our July trip mainly so we can visit the Poly and the kids will like the games they play. I've read so many good reviews that I'm hoping we caught it on a bad night last time, but we'll know in 3 weeks!!!

I love this place. We go every trip. Just got back this weekend from there and it was as tasty as ever.

I do have one unrelated complaint about O'Hana though.

I called to order a cake for my son's birthday and they had me call back and leave a message. When we got there, I should have asked if they got the message or not but I just let it go. He got a cupcake which was great, so no big deal. Just would have appreciated a little more attitivness.

I won't go again, alot of the food seemed spicy to me, I don't really like anything spicy.

The overwhelmingly positive reviews for this restaurant always surprises me, because the quality of the food itself is not overwhelming. You do get your money's worth, and the games are entertaining for kids, but since I don't believe in eating till I burst I regard the Ohanas menu a bit skeptically.

That said, the food is pretty good. However great cuisine it's not.

Hubby and I were not thrilled at all with the quality of meat we had at O'hanas. It wasn't tender/juicy at all.

Carried across the room on sticks..well, that is very common in brazilian/argentenian steak houses..and it is wonderful..when done right.

We went here last year as a large group for my birthday. For the price, we were not that impressed. The kids liked the games but the food wasn't that fantastic. A lot of the meat was dry and the place is just so loud that you really can't talk. We have 2 DSs so we are used to things being chaotic at dinner but this was out of hand! Out of all the great places that there are to eat at WDW, this is not one place we are planning on returning to.

My wife and I went there last December and thought it was a great place with great atmpsphere. However, although the food was ok, EVERYTHING HAD A LARGE AMOUNT OF GINGER IN IT!!! We asked our server if we could have the meat without the ginger. After awhile, he brought us totally unseasoned shrimp. My wife HATES ginger and can pick up the slightest hint of it on anything. So, I think that was our first and last visit to Ohana. Aside from that, if you like ginger, I think the place is pretty good.
Have fun!!!

We aren't terribly picky and we LOVED Ohana, are planning on going back! I didn't think the food was terribly spicy and I didn't eat much of the meat only because I had already filled up on everything else! Our favorite part of Ohana though was the coconut and chocolate dessert-- it was so delicious!

I think the reason we loved it so much is because it was later in the evening and our daughter was 21 months at the time and she just LOVED it. We had at that time a hard time sitting in restaurants waiting for food because of her-- this had so much for her to look at and nibble on that it made for a wonderful night!

I would definitely check the menu though on Allearsnet.com-- if you don't like the options, I wouldn't spend the $$. It sounds like the buffets have more options for non-meat eaters. Good luck!

We have been to Ohana 3 times over 8 years, maybe 9. We found the meat to be too dry and overcooked. The shrimp were tough and the turkey was tasteless. I don't remember any being spicy. I may have liked that.

It is always loud, but we expected that. The view is lovely and if you have a table away from the crowds you can enjoy it. There are so many restaurants at WDW we really like, so I doubt we will go back to Ohana.

We found it to be just okay. We went in 1999. Have been to WDW six times since then and haven't gone there again. Will probably try it again sometime, but it isn't high on the list.

The whole O'hana's thing has just never appealed to us. I'm hoping someone can change my mind. I also have a thing about skewers and we're not crazy about sharing tables with strangers. We are going to try Kona's for breakfast this trip.

We happen to love 'Ohana, but to each his own. In terms of the food being carried on a stick, you obviously have not eaten with my kids.

I could be wrong-- and it may have changed, but when we were there we sat by ourselves at a table of 3. I don't think they do seating like on a cruise ship where you eat with strangers..

But it may have changed.. we were there in April 2003

You do not sit with strangers. Each party is seated at its own table.

I completely agree. We've been there twice, once in 1999 and again in Feb 2004. The only reason we went recently was because it was free (comp. for a ressie/room problem). We were unimpressed both times and we definitely won't go again. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't what we'd consider good either. The service was really great though.
