i agree to the FULLEST percent.
I'd like to get one - bc i LOVE putting pics of me all over the place - but I HATE the idea of giving out all of my info. I mean maybe name and age - not PERSONAL stuff!!

same - bc they go for stuff 20 year old guys go for in 20 year old girls - which still is wrong.

I don't have a myspace, and i don't want one but i'll occasionally go on there and look at some of my friends who have myspaces.

I think it's a dumb idea...like why would you want to risk your life talking with people that lie about their identity and could possibly want to do something harmful to you...it also bugs me when my friends are like get a myspace...i mean to me it just sounds dumb. really dumb.

Most of my closest friends don't have myspace. But a lot of my other friends do, and they don't tell me to get a myspace or anything.

you risk your life crossing the street.

All you people saying that you don't want to put your personal information on myspace, you don't have to. You can make myspace as personal, or impersonal as you want. Myspace doesn't force you to say anything, except your name, age and location when you sign up and if you don't want to say that you can fake it. And risking your life? The people that get abducted or raped? It's their fault for giving out too much information, not myspace's. If they choose to say where they live, work, their address and phone number, they're setting theirselves up for it. Myspace is a really safe place if you're not an idiot about it.

No one said you had to accept friend request from people you dont know. Unless you were talking about your friends lying, but I think that would be a different problem... :confused3

I think it's pretty pointless, but thats just my opinion. A lot of people think of it as a way not to be bored because they go on there when they're bored.

I've never considered going on there. I would just feel uncomfortable with all the stuff that's been going on. I would be completely paranoid.

Sorry. Not a mainstream kid here. Myspace is definitely a mainstream kinda thing.

Ya i kno ucan make it as impersonal as u want but i also think its stupid because some ppl get so mad if they dont get 'comments' or 'freind requests' everyday. I heard it ruins ppl lives.....lol

like my friend has her friend 2nd on her top 8 and she is mad because she is second

i dont want those problems

It's not fantastic. It's not exciting.
For me it's just a way of keeping track of some of my favorite bands.
Going on there everyday just sounds too boring.

Yep, I basically use it just to communicate with friends during the summer and to talk with friends that moved away. Some people seriously have addictions, they add every person theyve ever met before, even if they havent talked to them in years....
