does anyone miss the old Snow White at MK

I don't necessarily miss snow white, but I do miss all the dark rides. In my opinion, disney needs more dark rides, not less. Dark rides are quintessential disney for me. I guess the one scene of the dwarves inside the hill is ok, just wish the whole ride was more like that.

We have ridden the ride at DL in California several times and it just isn't as good as the WDW version was (although we do love the exterior of that ride at DL).

Same here! We went to DLR for the first time last year and Snow White was what I had been looking forward to most. I had planned on riding it many times. I enjoyed the outside and the queue, but was very dissapointed by the ride. I enjoyed it but it was missing so much. We didn't even ride a second time, partly because crowds were higher than antcipated.

How similar was it to the one at DLP? I'm pretty sure I rode the one at MK at some point but actually can't remember doing so lol

I recently rode the one in Paris so on that basis and the fact I don't remember the one in MK I'm going to say no, I don't miss it.

It is much shorter. I don't remember now exactly which scenes are missing, though I remember the first one of Snow White at the well isn't there.

We really miss the ride and I still am irritated they took out an orignial, classic ride to put in a M&G! That could have gone elsewhere. They could have has both the mine train and the dark ride. After all, Beauty and the Beast gets a shop, quick service, restaurant, and character attraction.

I miss it. My kids were never scared at all. I have so many fond memories of riding it over and over when I took my DD (almost 4 at the time) on a princess trip, just the 2 of us. We always waved to Dopey at the end. We rode it last just a couple days before it closed and waving good-bye to Dopey that time was sad. Felt like it was shutting a door on a piece of my DD's childhood. :sad1:

I never went to MK when most of the dark rides were there, so I can't really say I miss it. But! Having them still at DL makes the park extra creepy (in a good way) as opposed to the bright, joyous nature of WDW. If that makes any sense.

SW was dd's favorite ride when she was 3. We miss it because it has many happy memories with dd.

We especially miss Dopey waving goodbye at the end. We have ridden the ride at DL in California several times and it just isn't as good as the WDW version was (although we do love the exterior of that ride at DL).
I agree so much with this. The outside of the ride is absolutely fantastic. The ride wasn't what I was expecting/hoping for.

I was disappointed, as well, but I think that's because I was expecting it to be the same as the one at WDW. Oh well.

Snow White is my daughter's favorite princess so I wish I could take her on the ride. We will have to take her to Disneyland eventually so she can ride it there. Not sure when, though, as she lost the trip we were planning for this coming May. Ah those moments when you end up having to punish yourself along with your child to teach her a lesson. :sad1:
