I have made ADR's for the Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood & Vine.
It seems like everyone here doen't like it. Is there anyone out there that does like to eat there? I'm a little worried.

We did. The food was decent and tasty with some unusual variety such as a chicken skewer with a spicy peanut sauce, a lo mein noodle dish with meat and veggies that was fresh and tasty, baked chicken and some really good flank steak. The dessert station was fun and had a lot of variety.

We liked it. We went there for the FDP and weren't really expecting a lot, but we were very pleased with the variety and quality of selections on the buffet. We also had a wonderful server.

We liked it. We were there in June 06. It was my husbands favorite place, we also ate at 50s Prime Time, Crystal Palace, Sci Fi, Ohana, and Rose and Crown. I liked Crystal Palace better but I liked both. The food is not quite as adventurous as Crystal Palace and a smaller selection. We really liked the salmon, the polenta, the spoon bread, the baked beans and especially the desserts. Salads were good. Our server was good, kept our drinks refilled and brought us coffee with dessert. Food was fresh, warm and replenished often.

Yes, a lot of folks on here have reported bad reviews. Maybe H&V has more ups and downs. I was very nervous when I booked the Fantasmic pkg here and debated switching. So maybe our expectations were low but we were pleasantly surprised.

The food was just fine. I'm actually returning here next trip. The food options in MGM leave a lot to be desired in my opinion though. I've been to them all, and I enjoyed the food at H&V the most.

Thanks for the responses. I think that I will keep the ADR. I never have been too thrilled with anything at MGM so thought I would give this one a try. We will be going in with low expectations so I guess things can only go up from there. :teeth:

We really just wanted it for the Fantasmic Dinner package anyway. I really hate waiting in that mob for an hour so anything to skip that will work I guess. ;)

I thought H&V was rather weak. I'm not a big fan of buffets to begin with, and I think H&V was the weakest at WDW. My DS actually felt sick after eating there last May. He went back to the room and missed Fantasmic. Both BD and MM are far better.

We are giving it another try, it was not bad when we went last, but a bit 'boring' with little choice. HOwever, they have also started the breakfast and lunch there as well and with the kitchen in more frequent use there may be an improvment for dinner.

We don't!!!!! Even with very low expectations of this meal (we did it only for the FDP) it was easily the worst meal of our entire trip.
Awful food, dirty, noisy restaurant, unbussed empty tables everywhere, disgusting Ladies Room, slow to non-existant service. We will not return for any reason!!!

It was ok..I mean nothing memorable. I thought the variety was lacking but its not horrible..

Not terrible, but certainly not great. If you don't expect much you may be pleasantly surprised. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, as was the salmon (I think it had pesto on it, but that might have been Crystal Palance).

We ducked in last time just to get out of the heat and they were taking walk-ups. It was about the same as I remember it. The service was very good, they refilled sodas quickly and removed dirty plates right away.

We didn't really like it. I hear that there is a new character thing so maybe thre food is better.

we just happend to stop in there a few trips ago to see if we could get in..and we did..we thought it was really good !!! we have eaten there a few times now and never had a bad meal....

H & V was our least favorite meal during our last trip. We do the Fantasmic dinner package every time, so we'll probably give it another chance someday. But for our next trip, we're going back to Mama Melrose's.

we liked it. it is a bit noisy, but most places like this are. we're going back in october. they had the best snickers cheesecake the last time we were there.yum!
