. . . how long a closing at BWV takes?

I have a 1pm appointment at BWV a week from Sunday and am trying to plan the rest of my day. I assume that I don't have to go on the tour.

When I was there in Feb., I didn't have to do the tour (had done it several years ago) and I only needed my license and credit card for downpayment. Of course, the credit card was back in my room at CSR, they took me there in a van, waited for me and brought me back! It took almost 2 hours because of the going back and forth. Would probably take less if you are more prepared than I was!

I assume you are talking about going to the DVC office and signing all the contracts and other documents. (A closing is what will take place about a month later when documents get recorded and you do not have to be there for that.)You need not go through a tour to sign contracts. How long it will take will depend on how much you actually want to read and study before you sign. If you do not already have copies of all the contracts and disclosure documents, you will discover that you could easily spend 5 to 6 hours reading through it all. If what you want to do is simply sign all the necessary documents and read later (you will have 15 days to cancel if you change your mind), that will likely take an hour or even less as long as they have the contracts and other documents to be signed already prepared (with the blanks filled in) and waiting for you
