Does anyone know why Universal CANCELLED my dining reservation?

I received an email today from Open Table regarding a reservation for Mythos I made a xouple months ago to ensure we would have the "perfect" time for our schedule. Our trip is coming up in about a week and now they have NO times left near our previously scheduled time we had reserved.

I called and received a voice mail stating to leave my contact info and someone should get back to me. Why can't I talk to someone now or a live person to explain this? Really bummed, it was the one place my boys really really wanted to go that evening.

We will all be so disappointed if they cannot fix this. Any suggestions???

Are you sure your reservation time was during Mythos operating hours? I've seen Open Table do that a LOT with Mythos because it has weird hours. Open Table will let you make an 8pm reservation for example, when Mythos closes at 4pm that day and the park closes at 7pm. I don't know if that's why but it is a very likely explanation. The other option is depending on when you go Mythos might actually be entirely closed for a few days because of Potter construction or VIPs coming through or any other reason UO decided to close it to the public that day. I will say that you don't really need a reservation to eat there though - I've eaten there a few times and never had trouble just walking in.

I suppose it could be any of those reasons. Wish I could have just talked to someone tonight. I will try to call there tomorrow while I'm in my office to see what the deal is. The park is suppose to be open until 7pm that evening, so I hope that it would be open that evening.

I'm happy to hear about not really needing a ressie. That still gives me hope either way, so thank you!

Because there are only a couple of restaurants that you can reserve at the two parks, they don't have someone dedicated just for phone reservations. Someone will call you back if you left your information.

I'm sure they'll find a good time for you.

The funniest things happen for reasons though....it just so happened that shortly, I mean like MINUTES after I posted this, I received an email from a travel group I belong to offering discounted tickets for Blue Man Group for that same evening. I bumped up our ressies AND scored BMG tickets for HALF PRICE!!! Weird but funny and definitely worked in our favor this time! No worries!!!

I have a friend that was notified a few days ago her ressis fior emirs/thcoup chop was cancelled last night.
Seimans did a buy out for a private party.
About maybe 3 places in city walk also closed last for them.

Maybe myths is going to have a private party on your ressie date just a guess
