Does anyone know where the Port Canaveral Coffee Shop is located?

 Hi, everyone. I've never been around the Cape Canaveral area where the Wonder is located, and I was wandering if anyone had been to the Cape Canaveral Coffee Shop?

On December 5, 2004, before the 4-day Wonder sails, around 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Deb Wills of AllEarsNet and Dave Marx of Passporter were going to host a meet and greet for anyone that wanted to show up before boarding the Wonder.

Hi Ray,

Does she mean the coffee shop that is in the terminal building or somewhere else outside of the Disney terminal?

I don't see anything called the Cape Canaveral Coffee Shop on Dave's map

click here and he does a great job of listing just about everything.

Ray - I just went over to Deb's site. I'm 99% sure she's talking about the coffee shop in the terminal. So you'll go in the terminal, up the the escalator and go check in. Then as you are facing the ship the check in area and the large mouse ears you board through will be on your left. The coffee shop is on your right across from the mouse ears. It isn't big but easy to find.

The site lists the meet as 10:30-11:30 which goes right in line of them opening the port about 10:30. I would defiantely do check-in first as the later it gets the crazier.

Have a great cruise!

 Hi, Mary. Thank you for your reply. I thought that the coffee shop inside the DCL building was probably the most logical place, but then I thought that it has it's own name. Then I thought maybe they were going to meet outside in Port Canaveral somewhere because the name of the DCL coffee shop wasn't named in her post.

Thanks for the clarification on both the location and times. I can't wait until I get my computer so that I can use Windows instead of relying on my very poor short term memory.
But I do remember your name now, Mary...lol.

This is going to be a great cruise. I am getting so excited.

This will be my first cruise and there are already seven different meet on the 4-day Wonder cruise.

Wow, spent over an hour in the terminal and never noticed a coffee shop.

 41 more days to our Wonder cruise.

I thought that I would describe some of the meets that are being organized by Mousefest and Deb Wills, founder of AllEarsNet and Dave Marx one of the authors of Passporter DCL Cruise fieldguide.

These are free Mousefest Meets, and anyone and everyone is encouraged to come by and meet and greet.

One of the first meets will be before we board the Wonder. On Sunday, December 5, 2004 between 1030 and 1130, there will be a meet in the DCL terminal's R. E. Fresh's Gulf Stream Coffee Bar. This is located on the far right side of the terminal. Most coffee, tea and pastries are about $2.25.

We will meet on and off while many people arrive and register, and before we board the Wonder.

Come by and say hello.

Mary, Are you saying there is a coffee at Port Canaveral? That would be great!!! Our 1st cruise also and I know I would love a cup of coffee while wainting in line.

Thanks,
Michelle

There sure is. Not sure what all they have or how good the coffee is because I'm not a coffee drinker. :D

Let's see if I can help everyone visualize this.

You will come into the terminal up an escalator. When you get to the escalator on your left will be the check-in stations. On your right will be some seating and tv's playing Disney movies. Straight ahead is a large window area.

First place you should go is to check in. Once you are done with that you have some options. Check out the great model of the ship in the middle of the terminal. Chill out in the seating area to watch movies. Get in line to board (it starts at the large Mickey ears) and will wind down from there. You can also go out onto a large balcony and see the ship. Just head towards the big windows. As you get near those windows on your right (across from the large Mickey ears) you'll find the coffee shop.

For Ray, Michelle and any other first time cruiser. Check out our homepage by clicking below and then click on the Disney cruise line link. The May 2002 link has some pictures taken in the terminal - most of the model. Also some pictures on the Wonder. Also if you click on the one titled Member Cruise scrapbook you'll also see some pictures.

FYI

The "coffee shop" was damaged in a hurricane. It wasn't open during our 10/09 sailing date. Hopefully they have it up and running for your cruise.

The coffee shop located in the DCL terminal was closed awhile ago. I don't think it was in conjunction with storm damage. It is just closed / no longer there.
