Does anyone know when Universal starts allowing booking of tickets/hotels/packages for the following year (specifically, Jan 2026)?

They've lost at least some of my business. I was going to get a hotel, granted just for a night, along with my ticket but I only want/need one day and don't want to book a package.

Would be a horrible look to do so this close in. I've already got a hotel booked for a five day trip beginning 1/10 and can't purchase tickets.
I hear you with that. I reserved 3 rooms for the entire family and was thinking of inviting extended family but the whole thing is on hold until either the tickets are released so I can buy everyone a starter pack or I get so irritated I change plans ... I am getting more annoyed as time goes on and have been considering a big trip to Disney Land in California as a something new. I have a tipping point where I just opt out of most things, comes a time when the juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

I've had a week in January booked at the Helios Grand since December. I find it odd that we can book a room over a year in advance but still can't get tickets 3 months out. Right now I am budgeting based on late December prices. I also want to know if it will be more cost effective to purchase an AP for my husband (this trip will probably be the only time he goes next year) Or just buy individual tickets.
The 2 main things that are keeping me from canceling are: my family members are really looking forward to this trip and have not been to Epic yet, and I don't think I will ever get the incredible rate I have at Helios again.

Glad I am not the only one! We are going Jan 1-3 and I just want to price out my options! Following for updates

Just tried to check on ticket availability and got this.
It looks like they changed the filters to separate out 1 day tickets. Maybe that is why it was temporarily unavailable.
It is nicer at least, to be able to select 1 day or multiday right off the bat.

I'm pondering a day at Epcot or a day at IOA Jan 4 before our cruise. I'd like to compare prices.

We're thinking about a few days at the end of our APs and just want to compare an Epic day to an Epcot day. There have to be many people wanting to plan early January. Not to mention not being able to know the options for renewing the APs or waiting.

I wonder if Universal was waiting for Disney to increase their prices, which they did. And now Universal can follow suit.

Disney and Universal Travel is becoming so expensive to the point where I just don't want to go as much. Maybe that's the point, I guess.

I enjoyed my one Epic day -- we had very good luck with rides and weather -- and would love to go again just to take in the details, without the pressure to get my family on all the rides. But I have only been to Epcot for one part day in the past decade, so going back is tempting, especially since I can't even buy an Epic ticket at the moment.

As an out-of-state, on-and-off annual passholder, I am okay with Epic not being part of all or most APs for a couple more years and can understand why Universal would do that, but I want to be able to buy discounted tickets for occasional visits. And I definitely think it's a problem that people currently can't buy individual day tickets for the entire winter break or any time after that, even when the holiday crowds slow down.

I am also a out of state on and off passholder since the mid 90s. I do 2 to 3 trips a year so the AP works out well - especially if I plan it properly.

The issue is the one day Epic tickets a very pricey - so that is a big ask on top of the AP price IMO - especially when the park is still having issues. Out of my 5 days I only had one good day - that is pretty bad considering how much I spent to go to Epic.
That said Universal did make it right because they knew it was bad - really bad.

If they have a more reasonable single day ticket for AP holders next year then that works for me - but I can't see spending 130+ for one day at Epic on top of the AP. And for a family of 4 that would get even more crazy.

They are really making many of the local AP holders very annoyed IMO - and they are missing out on a lot of the influencers as well.
That may be a good thing with all the issues.

When they do add it to the AP I assume they will still offer a 2 park AP for those that don't want Epic - but that is just a guess.

Until they let us know what is going on in 2026 we are sort of in limbo.

I'm waiting around too for an AP. I have never bought one but feel that their resort discounts and other discounts would be worth it, plus the free anytime entree of course. I don't know whether to just buy what they have now and change or add on later? We are going in early May. Having an AP is a new experience for me so any help will be appreciated:)

Catch 22. If you buy it now, they'll put out a discount next week. If you wait, the price will go up next week.

I will say, you can always upgrade your pass. IE if you buy a 2 park pass and then Epic passes become available, I'm fairly sure you'd be able to upgrade to include Epic - you can do this right now with Volcano Bay, or to upgrade to a more expensive AP.

Since Disney just increased prices, fair chance that Universal could also. The AP isn't active until you use it, so you're not losing out on anything by buying now and hanging onto it until May. That would protect you from any increases that might happen.

The bigger concern would be if they offer a deal on APs (generally this is a free 3 extra months). Normally you can't apply that deal retroactively. However, I believe if you end up activating the AP while the deal is still valid, you could have them add the deal at the time of activation (if price increased in the interim, you would also have to pay the difference). Pretty sure I read people doing that last year. If they release a deal right after you've bought your AP, you can also call and nicely ask if it can be applied - IME they might refund and allow you to repurchase with the deal - this would require you to have bought direct from Universal and get a nice person on the phone. I did that last year when they did the extra 3 months within a week of me purchasing our APs, but we went on an extra trip specifically because of those extra 3mos so Universal made out pretty good on that.

It really depends on which would irritate you more - waiting and having the price go up, or buying now and missing out on a deal later.
