Does anyone know the sizes of the life jackets?

I'm deciding whether or not to pack the arm floaties and swim ring for my trip next week. Do they have life jackets at the rental place at SSR to fit a 2 year old?

I remember one they gave me was way too small for my 6yo...but don't know exactly how small they get.

Any answers?

I never stayed at SSR, but at AK and POR they had different size life jackets available to use. My 6 year old and 4 year old sons fit fine in them, but they also had a size that was a little larger. I think they have them at all the resorts by the main pool, not the quiet pools, if I remember correctly.

I can only tell you from my experience at the BW Community Hall that the lifejackets Disney uses are sized by weight.

They have infant lifejackets that are for children under 30 pounds.

The next one is the lifejackets that measure 21-23" around the chest. They are for children 30-50 pounds.

There are also lifejackets that measure 23-24" around the chest, which also are for children 30-50 pounds.

Next is the lifejackets that are 26-29" around the chest and they are for children 50-90 pounds.

You will want to follow the weight limits on the lifejackets. It is better that the lifejacket is a little snug on the child, rather than being too loose. And they do have adjustable straps. If the lifejacket is loose, it will wind up pushing the child under water in its effort to float and it will not be very effective in the long run. I would imagine that SSR has the same or similar lifejackets to BW.

Last April, my then almost 2 yo didn't have a problem wearing the lifejackets. My 4yo also had no problems.

I hope this helps!:)
