Does anyone know the closing cost to purchase DVC from Disney?

Just did 75 BLT points direct a couple weeks ago. Closing costs were $202.10.

Did it take you long to get 75 direct at BLT?

Not really, but I'm not entirely convinced the guide didn't make some kind of mistake. Long story short, I went on the wait list for 25 points in March and got called in April. I decided to pass. After thinking about it on May 23rd I called and asked to be put on the list for 75 points. The guide called on June 10th and said he had points for me. He sounded confused and asked if I was looking for 25. I told him no, 75. He said okay and I ended up buying the points the next day. I have a friend on here that called 5 days after me to get on the wait list for the same UY (September) and still hasn't been called. It makes me think there was either a mistake or there really is something to guides "finding" points.

I think I remember my guide saying that the closing costs for existing members to add on were lower. I was quoted a range of $100-$130 for 25-50 point add on contracts a few months ago. It seems that the closing costs are lower for direct vs. resale and significantly lower if you're an exiting DVC member. The difference in closing costs definitely had to be factored in when making the decision to buy resale recently.
