Does anyone know the answer?

My friend just sent me a note with this riddle:

What is greater than God, more evil than the devil. The poor have it, but the rich need it, and if you eat it, you die?

He said that 83% of kindergarteners in TN got it, and only 17% of Harvard studnets got it. And something about you get the answer if you snap your fingers.

Although this is probably bloody obvious, could someone help?

oo isnt the answer to that one Mt Everest it just wasnt discoveredbut it would still have neen the tallest

heres a dead easy one and its truth can be argued but anyways:

the maker doesnt want the buyer doesnt use it and the user doesnt see it

its dead easy to get i got it straight away and im dull
