We booked our own land/cruise vacation. Do you know if we can still check in at a Disney resort instead of at the terminal? Or can only the people who book the packages through Disney do that? We're staying one night at OKW, then heading to the terminal in the morning.

Also, if I can, which hotels can we do this at??? Thanks for the info in advance.....

I think when you book your own land - and it's not booked through DCL - you can NOT check in for the cruise at the hotel, you have to check in at the port.

Susan is correct.....unless you are on the offical land/sea pkg. you have to check in at the cruise terminal. One of the perks of booking an offical land/sea is the convenience of checking in only once at your hotel, not again at the cruise terminal....the downside of that "perk" is that sometimes the offical package is much more money, and less flexible than booking the land and sea separately.

So you have to see how much the one check in is worth to you....for me....saving money is worth way more than just checking in once. It is no problem to check in at the cruise terminal so I would go with booking separately if it is saving you money. Plus you have the flexibility of choosing your own resort and picking the amount of days you want to be at WDW.

Sometimes the land/sea package can save you money....it all depends on the time of year and other factors so people should price out both options and then decide which would benefit them the most.

Yeah, that one surprised me. When my wife and I were married in WDW's Wedding Pavillion I looked into a land/sea. Not only was it more expensive, but I was limited in what resorts I could choose. I decided to book separately.
