Does anyone know how long it would take to drive from L.A. to Florida?

Does anyone know approximately how long it would take? We probably wouldn't want to drive more than 10 hours per day. The reason I ask is because my parents just bought a beautiful, huge RV today and I'm thinking I would love to go to Fort Wilderness Campground at WDW. We've never been to WDW and this would be a way to get our whole family to go while saving on airfare & hotels.

TIA!

Too long! LOL!

Well, I live in the middle of the US. It takes us 2 days to drive to Disneyland. I would think it would take us 3 - 4 days to drive to FL, depending on how much you drive in a day.

So, I'd guess 5-6 days. Ouch.

We did it last summer with 3 children, it was a four day drive. We went the opposite direction, though, from Florida back here to Ventura. But we took our time, and had alot of fun along the way, stopped at rest areas, took half a day at a Gator Park in Louisiana, and were in no hurry to get back.
Good luck!

I figured it would take a long time, but I'd love to see the sights along the way. I just can't imagine having DD4 & DD2 in the car for that long. Maybe in a couple of years they'll be better on such a long drive. It's just that I've been wanting to go to WDW for years now. I'll figure something out...

Thanks again!

Well, I drove across the country from VA to WA, but went the loooong way, going down the east coast, stopping in SC, took a right at FL, stopped in New Orleans (got stuck there for 2 days, LOL), stopped in San Antonio to see my brother, then across the rest of the bottom of the country on 10, turned north at Palm Springs (or so), and on my way up I5.

So...stayed over in SC, then New Orleans...then San Antonio, then a big one over to the New Mexico/Arizona border, then to Palm Springs. So for you, L.A. to...New Mexico ish, or just AZ, then TX, then another stop somewhere, then down into FL?

For my trip west I had to be careful to start early and avoid driving into the sun at sundown. For you, you'd start later and drive later.

If I recall correctly, that is. :) You just do NOT want to have that sun in your eyes while trying to drive!!!

When I moved to Vegas it took us around 3 1/2 days to drive from Orlando to Las Vegas. Vegas is around 4 hours from Disney so figure a good 4 days.
