If you can add an adult to your Free Dining package at the last minute (like a few days before you check in)? The room wouldnt be an issue because this person would be a 4th person in the room, but I was concerned over the Free Dining issue.

Thanks

no, you can only remove people
I'm sorry, but I believe you are incorrect. I booked our Free Dining trip last year in April and added my mother-in-law to our reservation in July and she received the free dining. All it cost me was $285.00 to add her on, which was the cost of her hopper tickets. We already had to have two rooms because we have 4 kids, so she was put on the other room so we did not have to pay the extra fee for more than 2 adults. But if the OP has more than 2 adults in their room then they will have to pay the $10.00 per night fee, plus the cost of tickets. Also, there are a number of people on the dining board who have posted that they have added people to their Free Dining reservation this year. I do believe, that Disney policy is that you must add the person at least 72 hours before your arrival date. Hope this info helps.

I could be wrong, but we tried to do this in 2006 and were told no. Are you sure you didn't add your person at the very end of June before the promo ended? It might also have to do with the 45 day change policy. Either way, in the past we tried and were told no.

As with anything, call Disney and ask - can't hurt!

We've also added another person to our party last september '07. I can not remember how many days out it was from our arrival but i know we already had our ADR's booked. I agree, call WDW and find out for sure especially with the policies changing every year now. : )

No, it was July. I remember because my husband's birthday is July 8 and at his birthday party my MIL told me she had decided she wanted to go on the trip with us. So, the next day I called and added her to the reservation. Also, just in the last few days a number of people on the dining board have posted that they added someone to their FD reservation. The OP definitely needs to call.
