Plates? I just saw a few in the Disney Magazine that were very nice... Hmmm maybe a new collectable for me.

I absolutely LOVE the new plates for the 100 years celebration from the Bradford Exchange, but they are SOOOOOO expensive when you add up all of the shipping, etc. It made a beautiful framed picture.

Is that the set you saw Nat?

To answer your question, I don't have any of the other collector's plates.

I do have a few plates that we have collected over the years. We tried to collect the B & G plates from the year we were married but ran out of wall space after we got to about 15 years and now we are going on 36 years we would probabl y have to have a room addition put on.
One of the favorite plates I do have is my Mickey's 50th Birthday. Wish I had also picked up the Donald 50th Birthday.

I do have some plates.
I bought the BRadford Exchange 25th Anniversary collection of 12 plates that have all the different themed areas in the MK. I have those on a nice rack my dad made for me over the fireplace.
Thanks to my mother I also have some cute Grolier plates. They come out at Christmas and Mother's day and I have aobut 20 of those. I was surprised last year for Mother's day when my dad brought me the mother's day plate. I thought with my mom being gone I wouldn't get them anymore, but my dad said that my mom knew how much I enjoyed them and he wanted to make sure he continued with what mom started. they are in what my boys call the "Disney Den".
I saw an article a few years ago in the Disney magazine about a husband and wife that collect lots of Disney stuff. They had all their plates along the top of the wall all around the room. I loved that idea and hope someday I have enough to go around my bedroom. Maybe by the time I move to FL, but do the people who live in FL decorate their houses with Disney the way we do if we live so far away? Peggie
