Does anyone have Walmart+? Is it worth it?

Not only do we have Walmart+, but I upgraded to InHome.

InHome allows them to enter your home and put cold groceries away or put other things on the counter. While I won’t use that type of service and still have my bags left outside, what is super worth it to me is that the deliveries are done by Walmart employees and there is no tipping expectation. Tipping was getting out of control having Walmart+ deliver from the store every week/10 days, so paying a little extra on the front end and never having to tip ends up saving quite a bit.

If you plan to use Walmart+ with frequency, I would price out the InHome add on.

Oh! And another nice benefit of Walmart+ is gas savings. You can use Sam’s Club pumps even without being a member there and at Exxon (I think), you use the app to save some cents off of the price. It’s not a ton, but gas is not cheap where we live, so it does help a little.
When I did an InHome trial the delivery times were very limited. I didn’t get a list of one hour windows like regular but a handful of 3-4 hour windows. Is that how yours is set up? I was wondering if it was my store.

Yes, they seem to only have 2 windows each day for deliveries - 9-1 and then 2-6. They load all of their deliveries for that window and then do their route based on locations - I guess like UPS.

It is a little more difficult with a big window, and I think it’s because they want you to let them into your house to put things away. But, I will say that I place an order for a certain day and window pretty much weekly, and it always delivers within about 20 minutes of the same time, so you can start to be able to know how it will go. They do alert your when they are on the way.

Chuck, I am PMing you in the hope of saving you some money. Dad and I do have Walmart+ and have found it very useful especially since the nearest Walmart is an hour almost from us! I hope should you choose to sign up it works well for you, too :)

I never knew that. So will you get a discount off Sams Club price?

Have it as it came with Amex card. Don't really use it. Often I just go to Prime..as for groceries
that is hit or miss as sometimes I got a lot of substitutions so i stopped.

We use it all the time! It just became an option delivery wise here in the last year. I love it! We also use it at mobile stations for .10 off gas.

I was never a big Walmart fan and in all honesty, I’m still not …but during the pandemic I started using the pickup grocery service and they did a great job. I still use it because a lot of weeks I simply don’t have time to spend 30 mins in a store that I don’t really like that much 🤷🏻. I added Walmart+ over a year ago and it has been super worthwhile …I get Paramount+(not a great perk) but I also get 10 cents off per gallon at all Exxon/ Mobil stations(as well as some others). That being said I’ve been shopping for my gas recently and they aren’t always the lowest but for the times they aren’t they’re close enough in price and the convenience is worth any difference. I say go for it!

We have it. I was ill for quite some time and could not get to the grocery store. My husband had not retired yet so Walmart+ was convenient. It just renewed. Probably won't next year but who knows?

The items come usually come same or next day and are delivered by Doordash which is paid for by Walmart.
The Walmarts here now all have their own delivery vans. Wonder if they will switch to that where you live?

The vans here do the grocery deliveries.

Doordash delivers everything else that is shipped direct from a store rather than a warehouse.

I have it and also got it for a low price offer last year that included Paramount +. It’s up on a week or so. I’ve used it for grocery delivery a few times and I was happy with the service. Everything was bagged well and mostly in stock. I really dislike going to our Walmart in person, so this service is good for that reason. I’ve noticed our store is very busy with grocery pick ups, too.

I looked and it has been 3 months since I got a delivery.

It was delivered by someone in their personal car. I assume DoorDash but who knows.
It's a platform called "Spark" not sure if Walmart owns it but that's what they use in my area (the Northeast)

Yes, Spark is the name of the Walmart Delivery service owned by Walmart. The article says they launched it last year because they wanted their employees to do the delivery. Apparently people were unhappy with Doordash

I think DoorDash drivers were unhappy with Walmart.

The person receiving the package could not tip in app and Walmart tipped poorly.

As a result orders would sit undelivered.

My grocery delivery comes in personal vehicles, I’m not sure who they’re through but they’re generally pretty good minus a couple of occasions where they’ve dropped the wrong delivery. My “shipped” items which are just actually delivered from other stores come in some kind of company vehicle, maybe what you’re talking about, are awful. They don’t bother to look at the address, they go by the GPS. They’re always delivering to my neighbor and she doesn’t know what to do with them since they don’t actually have my address, just my name.
