I don't really like the way they look but I'm thinking about buying them anyways. I've been sleeping through my alarm in the morning so I need a pair of boots that I can pull on quickly and run out the door .

Are they really super comfy and warm? I stand all day in a freezing classroom, so comfy and warm is important. Can you wear them under boot leg pants? If they're as great as I heard they are, maybe they're worth the investment????

Hi,

Well, the problem may be getting them. About a month ago I went online shopping for some, went to the Ugg site and just about everything was backordered until January.

I did get a catalog from them in the mail and there are several styles and they come in different colors. I DO like some of them. I went to ebay and they were a hot item there. Maybe there's other sites still with stock but I didn't look further at the time.

Good luck. I haven't owned a pair before, thought they'd be warm and comfy for winter. I'd like to hear too from anyone who has owned some :)

They are comfy, but they look best on girls with calves like pencils. They do keep the feet nice and toasty, though. :)

They are fabulous. I had my first pair about 7 years ago and wore them out. This XMAS I am getting my third pair. But a word of advice - your feet get very very warm in them. It is hard for me to wear them all day, especially indoors. they are great outside but my feet get to hot to wear them too long inside.

Depending on the style you get you should be able to fit them under boot cut pants. They have some shorter styles as well. Enjoy them if you get them.

For my DD18 for Christmas in pink...the shorter ones..

They were on her list though I do think they are kinda 'uggly' :smooth:

If they keep her toasty, I guess that's all that matters!

I just bought my DD (19) pink Ugg boots - the short ones. The card that came with the boots said you could skip the socks and just wear them barefoot.

I confess to trying them on - they felt heavenly - sooooo soft and comfy!

I ordered mine back in October from www.rei.com and they seemed to have a lot of the boots in stock, including the new lavendar and red ones.

I bought a pair for myself last winter and a pair a few weeks ago for my dd. Their warm and very comfortable. Worth every penny. Quick on/off. I have the shorter ones and my dd has the tall ones. Even when your walking a long time, your still comfortable wearing them. I was told to get a smaller size as they stretch to fit your foot perfectly. But, I'm a size 8 and got an 8 and they fit perfect. Same thing with my dd. She's a size 6/ got her a 6 and they fit her perfect also.
(bought her the matching bag for X-mas, perfect match and the cutest thing)

No but since I live in Mississippi I don't have to worry about being warm and cozy since its usually HOT and MUGGY anyway.

I did buy a fake pair though at K-Mart for $11 the day after Thanksgiving. I've got the fake purse too, although it wouldn't take much pushing for me to buy a real purse.

Thanks for the tip about rei.com. What about the rest of you? Where are you finding them?

There's a Nordstrom's in Charlotte (a bit of a drive but I could do it). I thought they might sell them there.

Yes, we have some (the original UGH Boots) hand crafted not manufactured ones & they are great. See, a lot of you may not be aware but the UGH is an Australian icon, however, it was not never officially registered, so the Americans came along & bought the rights to it & now are using it & calling it their own. We have had UGH boots here in Australia for as long as I can remember & they are hand made ridgy didge sheepkin boots.

Okay can someone please tell me if I'm pronouncing these right. Is it UGG like you would say UGGG I hit my head or something like that?

UGG, UGH, UG.....however......it is short for UGLY!! :D

Good thing they keep feet so warm because then all the teens around here w/them will have something warm-- they wear them w/ SHORT skirts and their bellies showing

Yep UG for Ugly, thats cute and to me they are so NOT UGLY! They are so cute.

I don't have the boots but I do have the clogs and I love them! They're like walking on air!

I don't think they are ugly either..........they are very much a fashion statement over here. If you own Uggies then you are cool.

BTW if you own the sheepskin ones you can wear them all year round, they won't make your feet all sweaty in summer, but the synthetic ones will.

Nutsy, I saw a pair of Emu boots that were really cute and way cheaper then the Uggs. Do you know if they're the same quality?

I don't know sorry, but Emu boots??? I can't imagine them being as cosy as Uggies. Emus are not soft & fluffy. They are wiry. But guess it depends what they use on the inside too.......

Sorry I can't help, I've never heard of Emu skin boots before.
