I'd love a Six Flags New England touring plan or any tips. Going tomorrow for the first time. Two adult coaster lovers and one six year old. Also, does anyone know if they do child swap for the big coasters?

Thanks!

Get the Flash Pass if you want to go on any rides. Otherwise, plan on 3-4 rides if you are there for 12 hours.

Put on your blinders or you will kill someone.

Watch where you step.

Good luck!!

I just went for the first time this past july with 2 6 year old, ten and 3 year old
some tips
you can park at one of the private lots across the street for $10 from open to close less then 5 min walk to the gate perfectly safe --they tried to get us to by the $25 preferred we backed out and from one of outside lots

i though the soda cup for $14 was so worth it--thats all we brought to eat there --packed food in a cooler

compare to my experiences in six flags great adventure this park was empty we went on a friday it had a lot less rides and cleaner --got on most of the rides without a major wait--major being more than an hour

head to left first that area closes early to get ready for parade park closed at 10pm they stopped people from getting on line by 8pm

the superman ruled but our six year olds were way too short

I don't know what direction your coming from but there was no McDonald's from park to junction for *90 (i think that was the number) didn't really see any fast food places to hit after leaving --like i noticed surrounding other parks

only spent 1 1/2 hours in hurricane harbor not a big water park fan

I loved it and would be going there again

If you're coming from the south on 91N, take exit 47W and follow 190/159 right to the park. You'll save miles and lots of time over the published route.

Hey!!!

We'll be there tomorrow too!!

Me, a friend and 4 girls!!!

I don't know if you've purchased tickets yet, but Lunchables is running a special on the inside of some marked packages....buy an adult pass at a child price, and the child gets in free. $29.99 for you and your child. It'll at least save you one admission if you're able to get to the grocery store...:rotfl:

Maybe we'll see you there!

Drat, we already purchased our tickets online. Oh well!

Does anyone know if they have child swap for the big coasters?

I'm actually wondering the same thing! I'm planning my DD's birthday for September and we've decided to go to Six Flags and do the Sundaes with Scooby Doo. Any info would be appreciated!

uhoh what happened?

A friend wanted me to go w/her a few weeks ago so I went. Her daughter and daughters boyfriend were going so my friend wanted someone to ride with.
It cost $25 for the ticket and I put $15 towards the "fastpass".
She paid for the preferred parking.
Expensive day and we only rode for a few hours before the showers.

I and my family go every few years and when we go, we remember WHY we don't go there. The last time i was there it was dirty and everyone was rude. i suggest going to lake compounce or canobie lake! they're smaller but it was clean and the people were much nicer!

I have heard a lot of good things about Canobie Lake Park:thumbsup2

I had heard about the notorious crowds but figured on a Monday it wouldn't be that bad. It was HORRIBLE. It was so crowded you could barely move. The lines for everything were over an hour (except the real kiddie rides like Wiggles World).

We didn't want to buy the flashpass because 1) it's free at Disney and I'm spoiled and 2) we had already spent $29.99 per person to get in, $15 to park, $20 to rent a locker, and $36 for lunch which included a slice of pizza and drink for each of us. It's a bad value.

They don't open until 10:30. We're used to how Disney does it... they open at 9:00 and you can walk on rides for the first hour. So Six Flags opens at 10:30. We were there for park opening, we speed walked to Superman, and they didn't start letting people on Superman until 10:50! I'm like... shouldn't you have already run your tests before park opening?!

And they don't have child swap, so DH and I had to take turns waiting in line for Superman. So, long story short, we got there at park opening, went right to Superman, and by 12:15 both of us had ridden Superman. Ridiculous. So we didn't do any more big rides the rest of the day because it's not fair to my son.

My son is just tall enough to ride on the Thunderbolt which is a tame wooden coaster. He liked that, but we waited over an hour for it.

The employees were fine, but the other people in the park were noisy and misbehaved. Tons of teenagers. Screaming children.

The park is dirty. Everything you look at needs a paint job and when you are waiting in line don't lean on anything because there is gum stuck everywhere.

We went to the water park in the afternoon since the lines were too long to go on anything on the regular side. Guess what? The lines at the water park were too long to go on anything. We waited 30-40 minutes to get into the lazy river and that's the only thing we got to do there.

Never again.

Canobie Lake Park is better. Sure they don't have anything as cool as Superman but the crowds are much much lighter and it's just a more pleasant experience.

I used to go when it was Riverside and all I can remember is the gum everywhere!! You are so right about not leaning on anything!

I enjoy it for what it is and we go at the end of May when crowds are manageable. I LOVE the front seat in Superman-Ride of Steel!
