Does anyone have "people"

My mother used to tell people who annoyed her she could use one quarter and have them killed. Nowadays, it takes at least .50. I have relatives who went to jail protecting people in the mob - big people...people mentioned in Howie Carr's book.

I have a person....a secretary....I have 2 summer associates I've been ordering around for the summer, but they're about to leave, so I'm down to just "person" again instead of "people..

I can think of one person here whom I sure will be around soon enough bragging about "her people". Afterall, I can't imagine somebody like her not having people.....

When my book first came out someone contacted me about something for which I had to direct them them to my agent. All of a sudden I thought, "OMG, I have PEOPLE!!"
