Does anyone have green grass yet?

We got chucks of green here and there, been pretty much that way all winter. The lake (Ontario) didn't give us as much snow as usual. It was a pretty calm winter. Thank goodness.
Pongooerdiegirliegirliegoo-thank you for letting me know about the grass up north over thereski. When is ice out? Does that correspond with green grass in?

Grass is supposed to be green? :sad2:

Then I take it NH is still brown too? Oh dear, what a quandry. I love your pic -what an adorable little girl you have. Grass is green!

Our grass was very green until the past month. It is now brown in many areas. Even those places with sprinkler systems cannot keep up. We haven't had rain for so long. We are having brush fires. Last weekend, a brush fire threatened 50 homes. Thank goodness they were able to put it out. We need rain so bad!

I don't want to "rain" on anyone's parade, but I hope it rains a good portion of April. Besides, Disney's profits must really be down on the sale of those ponchos!

:furious: Oh I have had lots of rain today, oooddles of stroodles, rain. But i will send it your way to that those brush fires don't threaten anyone else :confused3 I am terrible at putting out fires. They seem to get bigger, so we are really careful around our house. I am pretty good at building fires, but it is my dh that is good at putting them out, and nooooooooo he's SoNotAFirefighter!

My grass is green year round and I never have to mow it. Then again, it is artificial. I love it. You wouldn't even know it was fake unless I told you!

A mixture of green weeds & brown grass here in MD--with that lovely crunchy feeling when your run out in 32 degree weather in the morning to get the newspaper & were just too lazy to put slippers/sandals/shoes on your feet! What a treat!! deb

the back yard is green, and the front yard is sodded so it has little green patches that are probably weeds.

Well, it's pretty much been green all winter, but now is turning brown, since we have had no recordable rain since the end of February.... I hate paying to irrigate my lawn, and even that is not really helping most of the lawns in the area... I even had to put water in my pool yesterday - there has been so much evaporation with the warm temps, and no rain...

I know folks on vacation don't want rain at WDW, but we NEED IT BAD! And DON"T throw a ciggy out your window - or POOF - everything will go up in flames!

oops - sorry Peg - we said almost the same thing... I didn't read all the posts first!

I have green grass all year long. Except for really hot dry days in summer when it scorches a smidge.

We have already had to mow ours three times!!! We have had nothing but dirt in the back yard since August! Always a mess...I'm so glad the grass has come back as well as it has. I never thought I would be so happy to see green grass!!!

I'd be willin' to bet it's brown.

Lala- Please tell me what color is your grass is. I am just fascinated by this topic. I don't know why. Other than to repeat that ch-ch-ch-chia thing you made me think of.

Yes. There was a time where the grass was brown, but since it has been raining alot lately, it is nice and green. But that also means that it needs to be mowed, and the weeds are growing nice and healthy as well.

The grass is very green here in Kent in the SE of England at the moment,
however by the summer it will look like straw and because of a drought we have a water shortage and will not be allowed to water the lawns
