Does anyone have difficulty separating run together words?

Sometimes when they write out website addresses on TV advertisements, I tend to mentally separate the words in the wrong places! The other night I saw: pbskids.com I read it as p b skids.com and couldn't figure out what it meant at first, then I saw how I had divided it in the wrong place. I must pick up a recognizable word first and then go from there. Sometimes it turns out kinda funny.
Anybody else do this?

The closest thing I can relate to that is when Isuzu did a commercial where they spelled out their logo "Go Farther" one letter at a time until all the letters were on the screen....

But as it came up on the screen, All I ever saw was "Go Fart".....

I always wondered why no one in advertising ever caught that.. either that or I just have a weird mind...

Okay, I'll preface this by saying that I was a school teacher for several years and I really can read and love doing so. However, one day a while back, I was reading something and one word struck me as funny.... for a minute, I thought, "What does 'now here' mean?" It took a minute or so for it to kick it, Ohh, it's no-where! I felt like an idiot

I remember in 4th grade reading a spelling list out loud and getting stuck on the word "necklace." Honestly, I was reading at a high school level at the time, but I'm sitting there going... "neck... lace?" and picturing a lace band around someone's neck.

This is a little different, but one time my Mom was doing a crossword puzzle & the clue was something like "another name for the devil". The answer was "evil one", but of course in the crossword puzzle the words ran together like "evilone". My mom couldn't figure out who "evilone" (prounounce the "one" syllable to rhyme with the last syllable of "macaroni") was. We had a huge laugh when she told me about it.

My SIL loves to tell about a baby shower she went to where the mom-to-be, after opening several gifts, asked "What's a "ON-A-SEE" and what are they for?" Nobody knew what the heck she was talking about. Turns out it was ONESIE. (you know, those little bodysuit type things)

Part of whatever my disability is. Sometimes,I will look at a word and cannot remember what it sounds like! I still can't tell you what letter follows another in the alphabet unless I recite the whole thing! I'm almost 50,I don't think its going to get better. But,I have learned to compensate for my little "problem".
