So, I've been laid up off running for about two weeks now with what I suspected was a tibial stress fracture. I went for an X-ray last Thursday, and got my results today.
No stress fracture.
Unfortunately, that's not good news. The doctor said that the radiologist found something on my X-ray that they can't identify that is hanging out on my fibula. She was hesitant to say what it might be, but among the possibilities are some sort of lesion or benign tumor, but they really don't know.
They've already sent a request to my insurance company for an emergency MRI, which could happen as early as Friday.
So, not only am I not cleared to run today like I thought I might be, since I'm feeling, but I'm not cleared to do ANY exercise until after the MRI comes back.
I know this is NOTHING in comparison to what some people are going through, but I'd appreciate any good thoughts you might have left over.
